I know many disagree with Don's wardrobe change in season 5, but given what Crockett's gone through, it kinda makes sense that he'd want a change. Plus, the denim and cowboy boots was more akin to what Don wanted Crockett to look like anyway. Given Season 5 was when the show was running on fumes by that point, the people at NBC were probably like "Sure Don, whatever. Dress however you want" lol.

To me it seemed like the look of someone really burned out, so it fit.

Watching this in the eighties I thought that Crockett was losing his marbles. Watching it now, I realise that it was the writers who were losing their marbles!

" So, Detective James Crockett: Your wife was murdered, and then just after the mysterious disappearance of her killer, Frank Hackman, you suffered a serious head trauma, lost your memory, rose to the top of your own Drugs Cartel, attempted to kill your partner, murdered a number of people including an undercover Police Officer and then returned home once you regained your identity. Despite being unable to remember any of your actions during this time you now wish to return to work. The nature of this work being that you will be under massive psychological stress and emotional pressure, and be required to make instant decisions in matters of life and death for yourself and the colleagues that rely on you. Here are your Ferrari keys and Smith & Wesson 4506. Welcome back. "

I remember back in the day seeing this and totally believing it, and now that I'm older and jaded I can't help but wonder, if you were in a boat explosion and had amnesia and became a crime lord, could you really get your police job back that easily?
@flagal5192 жыл бұрын
Probably not, but it makes for a good story, right?

Season 5 really got soapy, but you can also see the makings of Nash Bridges here. Basically, Bridges was Crockett, if Crockett doesnt have a meltdown years into a career

The therapist banging is not canon. It might have happened off camera 🤣

Another example of Tim Truman's music being "silenced" by Universal... Sad......
@flagal5192 жыл бұрын
Why did that happen? I never understood that, and Truman's music was really stellar.
@vampyrelycan992 жыл бұрын
@@flagal519 I don't know either, but probably some rights-related issues I believe. Basically the entire Trunan's score portolio as well as a big chunk of Hammer's own didn't make it onto CD releases. Definitely Universal's fault, totally unforgivable......
