Holy crap so many stars in this. Early Phillip Baker Hall, Stanley Tucci, Meg Foster. I love how this courtroom scene actually looks like it was a film, rather than tv. The music, as always, is fantastic. I love Don Johnson! Why is Stanley so good at being bad? I prefer him in roles where he is a nice guy, but he is so great at villainous roles.

@OVI-Wan-Kenobi-83 жыл бұрын
It has to do with the defendant having the right to know who is accusing him and knowing what evidence the prosecutor has against him and the prosecutor is required to have direct witness testimony as opposed to just hearsay. An informant can't just submit evidence anonymously, Crockett's testimony alone doesn't cut it because it's considered hearsay which isn't worth much in court. This is why organized crime like the mafia and the cartels always go around killing the witnesses before any trial can take place.
@Deborahtunes3 жыл бұрын
@@OVI-Wan-Kenobi-8 ~ Well in my opinion, it's wrong. Granted I realise a lot of "informers" snitch to get lighter sentences for themselves. But most times they are correct in who they accuse. I personally have seen this happen...
@OVI-Wan-Kenobi-83 жыл бұрын
@@Deborahtunes it's basically what our court system is based on in the western world, like the assumption of innocent until proven guilty. When a defendant is prosecuted they have the right to full disclosure from the prosecution in order so that the defendant has a fair chance at putting together a proper defense. If a defendant can be found guilty based on just anonymous accusations and 2nd hand hearsay then we wouldn't have much of a fair legal system. First-hand direct testimony from sworn in witnesses are essential to prosecute any given case.
