Nicely done brother, thanks for posting. Prior to watching this I was clueless as to where to begin.

Thanks for the video, gave me the confidence to go in there myself and clean it out. I got rodents trying to make a home out of it. 😅 Just got it done a few hours ago, the fan was junked up with my hood lining of all things!

I'm going through something similar. A tire pressure gauge felt from the glove box and into the blower fan.Broke the fan and I think I have some fuse blown. And yes its hot like H... in Florida. Found the blower fan on ebay and I am going to find the blowned fuse this weekend before Monday comes. cheers,

That sucks. Good luck with it. Blower motors are usually pretty easy to replace.

Did this last or did you end up replacing it later? Probably a combination of worn brushes and corroding bearings

Idk if it's just me but if something acts up on the car, and when I test it I can consitently make the part fail, I am just going to replace it. And once you get the new part mess with how loose it feels and how it is supposed to behave so that when you go to diagnose a problem again you have a better idea of what goes wrong. Instead of this "putting a band aid on" situation where if something goes wrong it can be a multiple things that go wrong at one time because of not just getting a new part. Hopefully I am not the only one who likes to do this

Just like when a starter fails...electric motors can develop bad spots inside them and fail to let voltage through until moved.

Just wondering if this fixed it for good or if you ended up replacing the blower motor? Mine in my 1990 Miata stops working randomly when I am driving and after I am done driving and it sits for a bit when I start it back up it comes back on and works. I am thinking the motor is gunked up or something.

How did you get to the resistor? The fans inside my 07 NC miata aren't working. I swapped in a new blower motor but still nothing. Wondering where and how to get to the resistor

Those blowers are so cheap If I go to the trouble of taking it out it's going in the trash and a new one goes in.
