Thanks so much man. Im not even installing these headers, and you still saved my day. Long story short i found some really cheap headers, tried fitting them on, they didnt fit, went back to stock header and now Ive been plagued with the nasty exhaust leak you mentioned. I think the EGR valve hangar or whatever it's called, that goes on the specific side of the gasket, is on the wrong side. I never even realized it could be that until you mentioned it!!!!! Can't thank you enough for this video

Shocked how good the fitment was. Aside from a little persuasion of the EGR pipe, it pretty much fit like OEM. Any midrange gains?

Actually it's quite ok to use an extension with a torque wrench. If you support it to keep it straight, it will be dead accurate!

The whole 4-2-1 header makes more midrange than the 4-1 has been disproven so many times. It actually shows that the 4-1 makes more power everywhere over the 4-2-1. Also a 4-1 header sounds 10x better than a 4-2-1.

Dude your header has the CARB EO plate welded on?? Mine just says "Cobalt" even though it's the carb legal one from their site. They jipped me. All they gave me was the sticker.
@OMGBUILDS3 жыл бұрын
I'd rather not have the plate lol - the sticker is enough. You probably bought an old stock vs this new stock with the ugly plate welded on.
@billiamphan3 жыл бұрын
@@OMGBUILDS True. It does look cleaner but I was just trippin about it because when I went to get smogged the tech asked me where the CARB number was on the header. I had to convince him that the sticker was it lol.

Better flow
@LarryHopper3 жыл бұрын
@@akuma_mx5, does the better flow make the car faster or more efficient? Thanks.
@omgf0wtf Жыл бұрын
@@LarryHopper Probably, possibly, hopefully a bit faster. You are most likely gonna gain max of 1 - 5 HP. However, good headers will enable better flow of exhaust and the engine gains some more power throughout the whole rev range, making the car more responsive (better flowing). Sorry that the answer came like 2 years later lol.
