(Should be two files: xiaomi_update and update.zip) Put the stick in your Mi Box and boot in recovery: unplug power, press and hold back + ok button while plugging the power back in. The remote should be nearby, facing the box. Do not let go of the buttons until it booted in recovery. the flashing should start and finish automatically. After first boot make sure you disable Intelligent Update

My problem is.. 2 of my laptops not detecting the mibox, I have installed the driver but still not recognise the box. I used 2 different A to A USB cable. can u share the driver that u used for your laptop to connect with your box? is it matters if USB cable is version 2.0 or 3.0?

+Nik Masrul usb 2.0 make sure to turn on ADB debugging and restart the box you will know it's on by plugging in USB flash drive it won't work as for the computer you need to have ADB drivers installed the most guaranteed way install install Android studio but the file size is large so you can tried to install this adbdriver.com

great works...at first i was lost but after i read on others comments it helps alot. after i downgrade form 1.5 to 1.3 i put my wireless mouse n it didnt work, then i saw in the comments they upgraded to 1.4 so the mouse issue. so i upgrade to 1.4.32 then after trying the .bat file few times all works..thanks mate!!

Hi please I need help in any way. I have the mi box but had it updated to a nougat 1028 build and it's constantly trying to update the July security patch. However since this is a 6.0 update, it will "not" work on a 7.0 build, but will continue to try updating that fix. I can't stop it. hello i have bought one of these by mistake as well.. kinda didn't know i need to hook it to the computer first before i ran the usb stick with the downgrade file.. and after it booted up it is now making me verify the device with a china phone number that it will text me a code to type in. +core ren in this case the installation of TWRP recovery didn't work try again make sure ADB debugging is allowed and your PC is detecting the box of. If all that didn't work try installing 1.4.4

Make sure USB debugging is off. Your USB stick should be fat32. Try different kind of USB stick. Link2sd is an app allows you to move apps to sd or in this case a USB stick. it require root and it's very easy and straightforward to use

I was using Xiaomi MIUI TV version 1.4.6 I don't know about 2.5.1 there are many tutorials online on how to downgrade it but like I sad try the first step if DWRP didn't install you don't lose anything and if it did install then you can install the recovery no problem
