My problem was right here on 0:26 for some reason, the default input was set up as my external mic, and since it was being used there, FL studio could not use it. I had to simply change it back to my laptop's mic, but this small detail wasted about an hour of time lmao. Stupid microsoft's windows 10. Thanks for the guide M8

@@skinthewitchh As far as I remember my laptop was automatically switching from mic to laptop's sound (might be related to updates). Go to settings on your pc and check if the input device is set to "allowed" for your mic

This is so frustrating when it comes to recording vocals it's always unstable. I have been applying this method for forever in order to record. But then at times when I tried to record after putting the input no microphone audio pics up rom the mic. All equipment is brand new. Going crazy lol. Only way mic Audi can be heard and picked up is only if it's in ASIO MODE (problem is once this ASIO MODE is chosen Loud annoying screeching noises come out of the mic. I've noticed that when it comes to recording vocals it's a hassle. If anyone could share some wisdom I'm all ears.

Hey man. Mine worked fine until windows 11 updated in. I select the input from the mixer track and there is no sound. No level input. I’m usually pretty good with this stuff but, I feel windows 11 changed something. You have any idea?

Try resetting your settings. Mess with your sound settings in windows and FL audio settings. I had similar issues again when I got a new laptop
