I was a big Michael Bruce fan back in the early '70's. He either wrote or co-wrote many of the Alice Cooper Band's hits.

My wife and I met Michael at a signing, I interduced my wife to him and he made up a song with my wife's name in it on the spot. My wife was thrilled! What a talent and you can tell he was the backbone of the original Alice Cooper group. I highly recommend listening to his solo work, it's great.

Brilliant! Alice Copper WAS a band, NOT a solo artist. Mike Bruce was a big part of the band.

They were a band until 1974. Alice has been solo from 1975 to the present.

He looks good. Dropped a ton of weight since their RRHOF induction.

Right! There was a point in time where he was HUGE, easily 350+ lbs, and it was really distressing to see him like that. I worried a lot that we would lose him to a massive heart attack or stroke.

Pretty sure that's in Guitar Pickers.

Fair to say I stopped buying Alice Cooper records once the band broke up... Bruce was a childhood hero of mine..Muscle of love was the last album I bought with my pocket money aged 13

Alice has many albums in his solo career better than the original band stuff. Nothing wrong with being an era fan at all but there are so many great Alice eras. I love it all. I actually like his solo stuff even more than the original band.

Don't get me wrong I like the original Alice band but I like solo Alice even better. The music is more diverse. The original band were good at what they did but limited as players. Plus no disrespect to Bruce but he was the one who originally talked about going solo and making a solo record. Alice did as well and his album was a masterpiece so he decided to stay solo. All of us would have done the same thing. The original band was a good era but that is all it was an era and Alice as a solo act has had plenty of good eras and plenty of great eras since the original guys broke up.
