I love this song. My Mom was not able to be the Mom he sings about. Mental illness. However, I had many other women in my small town who made up for this. I was so blessed to be raised there and have so many positive influences from each of them. In turn I parented with a intent to be everything my Mom was not able to give to me. I’m sorry for those of you that commented you didn’t have a loving Mother. My 87 Yr old Mother just passed away January 26, 2024. I’m broken. I will miss her the rest of my life. She was loved so very much. My daughter’s daughter wrote a speech and read it at her service. We had grandchildren, great grand daughter and 4 daughters speak. My Mother would have been very pleased. She had dementia. That’s such a terrible disease. She kept falling. My hearts broken 😞. She was such a good and loving Mother. I’ve been blessed.

My partner told her when we left the evening before and I was pottering around, that he will take care of me no matter what and she can let go now we will be alright. My mother passed April 28 last year. I can’t tell whether listening to this song brings me comfort or sinks me further into sorrow, but I can’t help listening to it many times a day, or once a couple weeks, depending on my mood, I suppose. No matter the mood, though, it never fails to get me every time. I am still not able to sing the chorus without my voice breaking, tears streaming down my face. Mr. Buble, you are literally my favorite artist of all time. Haha your songs are my karaoke staples. I found out my mom was diagnosed with ALS in 2020 while battling a strong addiction to methamphetamine. On January 1st 2021 I told her the truth and promised her I would get sober. I went to treatment, but didn't give my sobriety my full attention because I was more worried about her. I lost her in July and it killed me that I wasn't able to stay sober before she passed. I went into a deep depression and even attempted suicide, but luckily I am still alive and decided I would go to rehab again in February this year. I graduated yesterday and tomorrow I will be 50 days clean. I had been excited to hear your new album for three months. I never imagined when I would finally get to listen to it I would hear such a beautiful song like this one. I feel like it was a gift to me for keeping my promise to her. Thank you so very much. I hope to see you in concert very soon.

Wow. Dnk where to begin. I heard this today for first time. I had my third and final son after 2 misses jan/2000, my mother passed 6 mos later.
