Another good way i heard this said: “When you think He’s disappointed you, then you can grow bitter or take that very disappointment to Him.”

I am a from the Pacific Island of Fiji and I am currently a Theology. All that you have shared especially the lamenting part has made sense of my experience with Christ. Now I'm overwhelmed and thankful to God for your life and for making sense of my walk with Jesus. 🙏🤗😇 May God Bless You Always.

I needed this SO much today! God desires deeper intimacy with me...my suffering is worth that!

Thank you! People say things like, "better not bitter" but the truth is that many of us are experiencing very bitter things and not just once in a lifetime, but a series of bitter things. Lamenting needs to be OK. People don't want to hear it. I've often wondered if we have to leave our cozy suburban church and go somewhere where it's normal to suffer to feel like an accepted part of the body.

....so appreciative of this teaching by Michael. Do you have any of his recordings from his teaching on Scandalon? I heard him teach just shortly after that song came out......the rock of offence. I would love to study it again.

Suddenly a lot of things are clear. It's kind of like wrestling with God... then clinging, like Jacob. Thank you for this video.
