The format is great. Keep doing it. The salary "in 2024" numbers are appreciated!

Converting it to 2024 money is appreciated. I'm a bit of a figure hound myself, often Googling those figures when it peaks my interest (as it so often does). However, while I'm actually very good at digesting information quickly, even I had to pause the video several times to read all the figures. Might I suggest you slow the crawl a little so I don't have to keep pausing.
@BoxOfficeJoe11 сағат бұрын
Thank you, @FrancisXLord! I'm glad you like the improvements. Feedback like this really keeps me motivated. The crawl is already slightly slower compared to my previous non-inflation-adjusted videos, but I’ll definitely consider slowing it down even more-perhaps gradually, from one video to another, to find the sweet spot. In the meantime, consider using KZbin's built-in playback speed options. Thank you again; your input is truly valuable to me. 🙂
@heyyall5651Сағат бұрын
You can adjust the speed yourself. There's a setting called "playback speed".

New additions to the format are great! You are the only one I trust with these stats despite others trying to copy. Unless they are on your channel, in my eyes, they don't exist! keep up the good work and btw Jack Lemon, Brad Pitt and Sean Connery?
@BoxOfficeJoe10 сағат бұрын
Thank you, @Derek-vg3fg! Your words really mean a lot to me right now. I’ve also noticed some copycat channels, and it’s quite sad how they’re trying to turn my idea into a mass production of low-quality videos based on poor research. They clearly lack genuine enthusiasm and passion, yet they still manage to grab some views. Anyway, loyal viewers like yourself are truly priceless, and I hope people will notice the difference in quality and passion over time. Lemmon, Pitt, and Connery are all added to the list, and I will cover them all eventually. Thanks again for your support; it's much appreciated. 😉

I'm a little confused. What constitutes a flop, a bomb?
@steveleslie217020 сағат бұрын
Yup, a 20 to 50 million dollar profit isn't a flop...I think a few were mistakes.
@BoxOfficeJoe10 сағат бұрын
Thank you for bringing this up, @patmacmanus! A 'Bomb' is when a movie earns less than its budget at the box office. A 'Flop' is when it earns less than 2x its budget at the box office. Why? Because box office earnings are split between the studio and the theaters, so a movie needs to earn more than twice its budget to actually turn a profit. I hope this clarifies things for you too, @steveleslie2170. I may have to find a way to highlight this in my videos. Thank you both for tuning in!

I think its a good idea what u did with these cards. I think maybe in the future u should do videos like these from time to time with the actors that didnt have this type of cards from previous videos ( sylvester s. arnold s. , harrison f. ant the rest of them) to be updated.

Also you always read about hneetodays movies need to make not double but closer to 2.5x their budget to break even depending on the blockbuster sized scale of the production. Now i hear its over 2.5x. It would be interesting to have that info also if it's possible and not exceedingly difficult

I feel it’s a bit too much adding today’s numbers into the video. It’s a lot to digest. I think the speed is perfect and I wouldn’t change it. Thank you for today’s video.
@BoxOfficeJoe10 сағат бұрын
Thank you for sharing that, @lloydg8324! Agreed, it's a double-edged sword. That's why I conducted a poll about this before actually making it happen. The feedback has generally been positive regarding this improvement, so maybe I'll stick with it for a while. We'll see in the long run. If you feel it's too much, maybe just concentrate on the figures you're more interested in. In my case, it's actually the adjusted values-it's easier for me to comprehend the magnitude of the sum than the original figures. Hope this helps, and thank you for tuning in! 😉
