It’s easy to see where Michael Hedges’ soul has gone! Outstanding.

Thank you so much for posting this, I loved the energy and vibe of your "park cover", but this is the closest, clearest and best played rendition that I have found on the net and I've watched loads!. Anybody wishing to learn this beautiful music need look no further, the detail and clarity of your playing is wonderful.

Hi Andrew. I bought one of your CD's a while back and still listen to and love it. I'm glad to see you putting out some videos. You really capture the heart of Aerial Boundaries. Not many can pull this off. Keep it up buddy!

Yeah, you know, nobody subscribed to that one. I tried to switch people over but it didn't happen. I'll probably still use it for professional stuff and this will be my sketchpad

🎉what pickup is he using?

Hey! It's me 😊 I'm using an actual FRAP pickup for the tone and an LR Baggs M1A for the low end

Wow, you nail Michael's sound pretty well here even without his trademark Sunrise magnetic pickup! =) What kind of setup are you running here, I suppose it's a dual source system, right? Great playing man. It's nice some people are still trying to keep the spirit alive.
@AndrewGorny9 жыл бұрын
+TOCS Michael's sound is really about the FRAP. The Sunrise is just filler. I use the M1A instead because the M1A seems to have some kind of piezo that reacts to body noise. To me it's a better pickup than the Sunrise. Anyway, I have a FRAP in this guitar, so that's why the tone is similar. But a lot of Michael's tone is in how he plays. Aggressive, but clean strokes. I hope to have his right hand someday.
@TOCS949 жыл бұрын
+jazzpsalti I see. It sounds really nice. I'm looking into getting a Trance Audio system because I heard it's similar to the FRAP. Do you know anything about that?
@AdiHazan268 жыл бұрын
+TOCS well its not exactly the same. Michael use to mount the frap on the soundbord near the treble side of the bridge (according to his book), not under the strings, like the amulet, so the sound is not focused on the strings, what allow him do give it more boost from the preamps, making the body of the guitar really sensitive, you dont get that amount of "body" from the amulet, you get more focus strings sound (great sound). Michael used a custom preamp from trace audio on his belt. and make it even louder with the T. C. Electronics 1140 Parametric Equalizer/Preamp. hope that helps

You played the extra tiny A at the end! I thought I was the only one that noticed it. Is that missing in the Stropes edition?

This cover is really amazing ,and it would be perfect if you re-did it with a better microphone.
