I like how Rachel talks to him as a good friend rather than patronizing him and asking him about his illness. He's so much more than that and i'm glad that this is one of the only interviews where i can watch Michael talking about his family and other interest.

Dude, it sad what Michael has, but how he overcomes his disability everyday living a regular life is inspiring and simply amazing.

I just want to say that Rachel is a phenomenal host. She is warm, talkative, funny and you can tell that MJ Fox feels super comfortable. She doesn't go along with the pity routine that other talk show hosts give in other interviews. She's smiling and joking and makes him feel like a regular dude which you can tell MJ appreciates :)

Seeing Michael J Fox who has Parkinsons disease and still going strong, being able to express himself freely is already amazing. He is a great actor who acted in Back To The Future 1, 2 and 3 and I can't accept the fact that he is in this state today...

I've had Parkinson's 11 years, MJF is an inspiration to me. He had surgery called a pallidotomy which is irreversible. I just had a procedure called deep brain stimulation, DBS. I have a low voltage electrical implant in my brain. The result less tremors and dyskenesia and half the meds. Not a cure but turned the clock back like 5 years. I salute Rachel Ray for putting MJF on tv. PD is one of the least understood diseases and scientists tell us it could be cured in 10 years with proper funding.

Ya know....it takes a HECK of a lot of courage for him to show up to interviews and stay in the public eye on days when his symptoms are flaring up. The man is full of confidence and positivity, it's refreshing in Hollywood. He doesn't make a big deal about his Parkinsons and doesn't make himself a martyr for it, or let it stop him from doing his thing..
@jenpeterson37123 жыл бұрын
I read in his latest book, he said he's over it. He doesn't feel humiliated if he has to use a wheelchair in public. He also said, what other people think of him is none of his business. His genuine insight to life helps many and they're not false words

my father has had parkinsons for 29 years (diagnosed at age 33). i am 30. so i have seen him deteriorate a year at a time. those who know parkinsons know how rare it is for such a young diagnosis. my dad is still fighting but is starting to lose the battle. if i had one wish on this planet it would be for my dad to meet michael j. fox. we live in TN but my dad has the same doctor as ali and fox. my dad had deep brain stim surgery 3 years ago at the mohammed ali center in phoenix.

Parkinson's isn't something to be ashamed of. I'm a pretty big Michael J Fox fan, it's hard to see him like this cause he's a childhood hero, but at the same time it's very encouraging. He doesn't give up or lose hope, and he refuses to act like a victim. He doesn't let his circumstance define him.

I love Michael J. Fox. I admire him so much for his integrity, spirit, and talent. My grandfather had Parkinson's and passed away in 1999 at age 80 three years after my grandmother passed away. It was mostly a broken heart from losing her. It's hard to see someone's mobility go downhill when their mind is still sharp and remembering everything. Same with Alzheimer's only the opposite.

I heart you M Fox - you are a true symbol of strength in the celebrity world and to all those that cope the way you do.
