Dr. J (Jordan stole all his moves). Do the homework.
@lwbhslgy6722
@lwbhslgy6722 4 жыл бұрын
@Virus Xtal Dr. J was as if not more dominant in two leagues. He played during a time where many specialized stats weren't recorded and pace of play was not as fast. Of the stats that are available combining two leagues Dr. J is a 16x All- Star, 4x League MVP, 3x Champion. Jordan's was a 30 (32,292) 6 (6,672) 5 (5,633) player. Dr J was 24 (30,026) 8.5 (10,525) 4.2 (5,176). That's in an era where defense was emphasized and 100+ point games were a novelty. You wouldn't have the House of Jordan without the blueprint created by the Doctor.

People will debate this and that about the modern players, still there's one fact about Jordan that wins the argument. He played every game like it was his last cause he knew people planned to see him. It might be that little kid in the stands only time to ever see him, what player today hasn't sat out cause he plays the same 82 games Jordan played? Then there's the skillset.

I agree that MJ is the GOAT no question about it but he wasn't greatest in everything. He had no significant weakness but there were things he wasn't the best at. Jordan's 3 point shot was good but not the league's top 5 material but his 3 point clutch shots were definately unreal. Also his half court and beyond shots were not so good. I think that's why Jordan don't care too much for Steph Curry. Jordan said Curry is not Hall of Fame material. Jordan may be a tiny bit jealous because Curry did something he can't do. Curry can hit shots consistently from anywhere on the court and pretty much from anywhere in the arena. Actually, Curry's go-to shot of choice is generally from down-town. Those types of shots wasn't important to MJ but Curry made those types of shots into championship level material and fundamentally changed the entire game and took the 3 pointer to a whole 'nother level and within a few short years Curry solidified himself as the greatest shooter of all time. The feat of "greatest shooter" once went to MJ for a short while but he has since been stripped of that title. Mike didn't seem too happy about that. MJ didn't respect the fact that Curry beat his 72 game single-season winning streak. Mike said it didn't mean anything because Curry didn't win the championship that year. MJ sounded like sour grapes. Another thing MJ wasn't good at...Curry is dangerous from anywhere on the court once the ball is in his hands. MJ was only dangerous in the Goldie locks area within 30 feet of the basket. I must also admit Curry has a weakness too it's called "Turnovers". Still, overall there is absolutely no player greater than Michael Jordan.

@@hellbent7066I understand your point of view bro and you’re probably a golden state warriors and a steph curry fan, and yeah it’s true steph curry is one of the greatest shooters of all time, and yeah he can shoot from anywhere in that court, that is his master piece. But it’s because the nba now days is all about shooting the ball, there’s no physicality anymore , steph curry is not a drive in the paint player , players now days rather shoot the ball then to drive in the paint, and also Jordan is right about the warriors breaking the record in most wins in a season but it doesn’t mean anything if you don’t win a championship .its a disappointing season. It’s the same thing like when the patriots went 18-0 but failed to win the super bowl against the giants, “ It didn’t mean anything, the whole year is a disappointment “ because they fail to win the main goal , “A championship” Jordan’s was great in everything he did and his master piece was in the paint, his hang time allowed him to do anything he wished to, his double sometimes triple clutch moves he did while still in the air just for a shot that’s amazing, his physicality in the paint that allowed him to dunk over anyone even the best, his defense was phenomenal and his killer clutch time shots that heart broke many teams , he had a killers mentality and if you grew up watching this dude you know what I’m talking about. Yeah I agree curry should be in the hall of fame but he’s not that great ,
@hellbent7066
@hellbent7066 3 жыл бұрын
@@hectorfregoso3034 You say you understand my view but you really don't. You say I'm probably a Curry Fan. No. I'm a fan of both Curry and Jordan. I made that clear several times in my comment. You tried to explain how Jordan was great at everything but that's not totally honest. Everyone knows Jordans 3 point shot was not his strength except in the clutch. It was decent but not top 5 level material. He got zero awards for his 3 point shot so that means he wasn't great at everything but you say he was great at it so that's cool. You say a 73 win season means nothing without a championship. A 73 win season means a lot. It breaks Jordan season record and gives it to Curry probably for the next 30 years and it heavilly adds to your resume and goes towards your bid to be inducted into the NBA hall of fame even without a championship and that's what the entire conversation with Jordan was about. He said Curry doesn't deserve to be in the HOF. FACT: There are many players in the HOF that didn't win a championship but they still deserve to be there. They are there because of what they accomplished during the seasons over their careers and Curry was better than some of them too becausehe as 3 championshipsto go with that 73 win season! So Jordan was wrong! There are players with way more championship ring than Jordan yet Jordan still the GOAT. So that proves my point for me. Championship rings on it's own can not define individual greatness in a TEAM sport. Therefore the 73 win season means a lot. The NBA rules has nothing to do with Curry's ability to hit shots from anywhere on the court. If that were true, then why are the rule only making Curry the best 3 point shooter in NBA history? The rules can't just affect one person in the league and make them better than the entire league. The guy has to have the talent regardless of the rules bro. Only Curry is allowed to take the craziest shots in history and the coach encourages it without consequence. Because he usually makes the shot. No other player has that permission. If anyone else takes those kinds of shots, they will be taken out of the game, benched and traded. Lol! You say Curry's not that great. I totally disagree and I want what some of what you're smoking! First, I would never say Curry was greater than Jordan except for his range but he is definately greater than you (and Jordan) give him credit for. What makes him that great? He single handedly changed the game! That's huge! Other teams like Houston has tried and failed to copy The Warriors playbook and teams are now trying to recruit snipers all because they need an answer to Curry. He is the only one in the league who has to be guarded from half court and beyond. He's dangerous from anywhere on the court. He inspired a whole new generation of kids to want to be NBA long range snipers when they use to want to be like Mike. He is the only player to ever be unanimously voted league MVP (Jordan couldn't even do that). Oh yes, he is that great. That's absloutely greatness bro. You're just in denial. And yes Jordan is still The GOAT.

@@hellbent7066 Wow you wrote a whole book here bro, I’m impressed but still not that impressed by what curry has done yet . I remember I did say he deserves to be inducted to the hall of fame, he is probably the best shooter in nba history but that’s about it, he doesn’t have any physicality to drive in the paint, he can’t dunk, his defense is not that good, yeah he won 3 championships but remember KD won the 3rd championship for him, Don’t forget they lost to Lebron and the cavaliers after being up 3-1 in the finals and curry couldn’t even finish them off ? A 73 game wins in a season is awesome but it’s also a great disappointment if you don’t win a championship that season , It doesn’t mean anything period... MJ was good in 3 point shot not great but his masterpiece was inside the paint, he was physical and had amazing talent , his hang time allowed him to do anything he wanted, double triple clutch moves on the air, dunk on anyone, his defense was more than great , he never lost in the finals. Steph curry is a great player and don’t get me wrong but there’s a lot of great players in front of him in my list , sorry bro

Oh my God: at 4:11 is brillant! „I fake him... where is he? ...ok, I‘m turning back to him cause I ain’t that bad ...“ ... wow, so fast that he never ever had to go back to his first stance because the defender is way to slow and stumbled over his feet... what a Great scene

This was the biggest difference between MJ and Kobe. MJ hands were huge while Kobe hands were not. This gave MJ a huge advantage in terms of ball handling. Even Phil Jackson has mentioned this.

What MJ did at 4:27 was nothing short of amazing! It not only takes talent, but a high IQ, court vision and improvisation of the highest order. And it wasn't just a fake, but an amazing sequence displaying true greatness.

This may become my new favorite YT channel. Without question MJ is the GOAT. Can't win a title? Ok here are 6 and I took a hobby break in between. Can't play defense? Ok here are my all defensive team awards. LeBron is great, but MJ didn't look for titles, he just won them. MJ was different and I'm from Indiana and obviously a Bird fan. MJ had a competitive spirit that won't be matched and Bird is tough to beat.

it's not that his jumper was respected it's that he could do more with an advantage than anyone in the history of sports. for whatever that quality is you have to search for comparisons in art not sports--and not recent art.

You sound like a 90s 2000s baby. Should you be reminded of Dr. J? Jordan stole all his moves. Do the homework. Dr. J won titles, MVPs, and multiple All-Star selections in both the ABA and NBA. What's to talk about except shoe popularity?

@BOMBAATA Wilt Chamberlain 2K 20K Is that for me? If you read my comment, Jordan or Lebron wasn't even mentioned in my statement relating to the Goat. I only spoke about Dr. J and how MJ stole his style. I give credit when it's due and Wilt was definitely dominant and a rare talent. He helped to innovate the center position. Before him, centers were mostly used for defense and rebounds. He demonstrated centers could play both ends of the court.
