In my opinion, anytime when you're asked to interpret something or express your opinion it should never be marked based in the views and opinions expressed but solely based on how well you argue why and how you see it this way. And a string of arguments can be objectively judged based on internal logic, examples given, facts underlining those views, etc. And then there are the obvious things that contribute to your marks based on how well you express yourself in terms of vocabulary, grammar, overall structure of the piece, etc.

Technically, if someone feels threatened or in fear for their life, even if physical violence is not inflicted upon them, that can elevate a misdemeanor theft to a felony robbery (even without a weapon being brandished), which is considered a violent crime.

The number of people that say “I feared for my life” in order to get someone charged with something more serious is large, the number of those that actually go through is small. Watch some TPO hearings, you’ll hear the judge say things like, “Yes, but what has the person DONE recently that makes you feel that way” when considering if a TPO will be granted.
