I once had an idea for a movie that was like a crime-drama mixed with a murder-mystery thriller that I could see Michael Mann being the director behind the project. The story centered two female protagonists both around their late twenties to early thirties: One woman is a straight-laced and brilliant FBI agent assigned to recruit and lead a elite team of special agents to find a cunning yet highly-intelligent serial killer who starts targeting her and her team when they get too close to his tail and the other woman is a hard-edged and unorthodox DEA agent who goes undercover and infiltrates a drug kingpin's organization in which she uses illegal and unethical tactics to destroy his empire including igniting a war between his crew and the other crime families/gangs of the city. Eventually, the two women meet each other when their investigations suddenly collide and get tangled up together and they both begin to realize that their cases are strangely connected to each other.

My absolute favorite director and the movie "Collateral" was really great until the silly, silly, stupid, cliché-ending. Because Vincent (which was played by a superb Tom Cruise) was as bad as they get, and good as they get, when it came down to killing, then to see him die like that at the end was just utterly pathetic. Vincent should have, of course, killed one of them, preferably the lawyer.
