Alot of people in my are of Northern Indiana put cottage cheese in lasagna. The thing I love about Zach and Michaela being together is all the wonderful family stories that we get to hear! I am so thankful for all the Bates family that are using KZbin. This is a ministry of encouragement and blessings. I appreciate you all so much!
@sundynightliveКүн бұрын
@@annaraeellison3417 I learned how in Indiana, too. I never heard of ricotta growing up in my small town. We mostly ate whatever my Grandparents produced on their hog farm. They had fresh chicken, eggs, pork, and garden veg. I thought we were poor because our food didn’t come from the store. 😂

Thank you so much, Michael, for sharing your recipe and your beautiful heart with us. I want to also say I made the wheat bread recipe a couple of days ago (getting ready for the storm to hit this weekend). I make bread a lot but have never found a recipe that made true slicing-for-sandwiches bread until this one. It was THE BEST bread ever not only in consistency but in taste! We made sandwiches that night and everyone thought the same about how wonderful it is. It will be a new recipe added to my semi-weekly baking day. Thank you for the recipes and the peace that comes along with the videos. God's blessings to all your families.

So much quicker and they’re easy to clean. And no worries about grating fingers, so the kids can help. Not too pricey, either….around $30 and well worth every penny. You can use it for grating other things as well. Thanks for the recipe!

Just an FYI you don’t have to use oven ready pasta or pre-cook regular lasagna noodles to make lasagna. Years ago after making lasagna the “normal” way and fighting w the cooked noodles, I made a lasagna with regular noodles but didn’t pre cook. Just layer in pan like normal and bake. There was enough liquid in the sauce that the noodles cooked perfectly to al dente. Saves time and is much easier and you don’t have to buy special noodles. Love seeing other members of the family cooking with Zack!

I layer my noodles opposite each layer so they can “merry”. Also if you let it sit in the fridge overnight and then cook it helps it to merry too.
