Oh, thank you for this video. I think that Michael Sheen really showcased his acting range in this show, especially if you compared Aziraphael with his previous roles. Many viewers are more attracted to Crowley because he is more masculine and David Tennant played the role really really well (not to mention David Tennant is handsome😍). But if you pay attention to detail, you'll know that Aziraphael role is not an easy one. Michael made him alive and believable by putting efforts in every single detail: the high pitch voice, the way he walks, the way he talks, the way he turns his head, the way he observes goods in the stores, the way he becomes giddy and moves his hands when being excited, the way his voice tremble in fear, etc. Honestly, I couldn't choose who is better: Michael or David. I do wish they would win some prestigious awards for these roles. I could easily imagine at least 5 BAFTAs or Emmys for Good Omens: best script adaptation, best director, best actors (good luck choosing one of them), best costume designer, and best production designer.

Yes, I do think Aziraphale's part, at least this season, is more difficult than Crowley's because this character shows more development over the season and actor needs to convey a sense of ambivalence and divided loyalties in many scenes, which requires great skill and nuance.

I’ve lost count how many times I’ve watched the whole car conversation scene. Crowley hacking into the Bentley via the stereo system because he knows Angel is up to something. 🤣 if someone did that to me without any ⚠️ I would have gone off the road due to the fact it would have scared the living daylights out of me! (I almost did the other day when I drove all the way from Pacific Palisades to San Diego to pick up my brand new car due to something a tiny bit similar to this. And the guy at the dealership didn’t tell me that he’d already set my cellphone up to automatically connect to the computer system. Now imagine you’ve got the SatNav set to a quite high volume because you can’t hear properly because you’ve got the top down driving the over 2 and a half hours trip home and all of sudden you hear “Requiem For A Tower Dream” start playing loud asf throughout all the car speakers, including the ones built into all the seats two on each side of the drivers and front passenger seats? Well that’s what happened to me because it’s my ringtone and it’s the most dramatic part of the piece of music that they use for the ringtone. I swerved into the next lane on the freeway that it caused me to miss my turn off and I couldn’t just feel my heart pounding so fast I could hear it as well because I wasn’t expecting it to go off throughout the whole car, nevermind go off at all because I’d put it on silent. I didn’t want to play any music or anything like that until I was 100% completely comfortable driving a new car model and size I’d never driven before! 🤦🏾‍♀️🤣) Even Crowley’s car is wanting them to get together. The Bentley loves Angel just as much as it loves Crowley. The car does make a sound like it’s upset that it’s got to do what his daddy says. And you can’t help but call Aziraphale “Angel” now (yes I know he’s always been one. But I’m talking about in the context that Crowley calls him that instead of by his actual name unless Crowley is really p*s$ed with Angel, then he’ll use his actual name! Before any bright sparks come at me saying “well he is an Angel! Meh meh meh”) It’s sounds so endearing especially when Crowley call’s him “Angel” when talking to other people about Azriaphale. Please let there be a season three! And I want to see what Angel did them four times where he had to do the apology dance. And I’m guessing that because Crowley has only done it this one time and Angel has had to do it four times we know that he’s mentioned onscreen. Crowley is the one who came up with the idea. (And again before anyone try’s coming at me yes Angel mentioned three distinct years but he was about to say a fourth year before Crowley yelled “Fine” go rewatch the scene!)
