Michael Sofilas AKA Nter has been a household name within the Australian music scene for over a decade.
A lot of fans already know his life story through his music, but we got to dig a little deeper.
Raised in the housing commissions, Nter lost his mum at an early age and was taught crime by his older brothers just to get by.
Nters experiences is proof that life is a constant rollercoaster, especially when he was diagnosed with Kidney cancer at the young age of 27.
Doing multiple stints in jail to now raising 5 children with his long-term partner, Nter is now looking for a way to show youth that there is no such thing as a successful drug dealer.

I remember seeing NTER on the train with his mates a bit over 10 years ago when everyone was scared of him. I was a teenager dressed the complete opposite of him with an emo fringe lol, but I went up to him and asked him if he was nter and told him I like his music. He thanked me and seemed genuinely happy when I told him that. Back in those days you would get smacked for even looking at a group of lads dressed the way I was. he’s a good bloke.

5 minutes in and already got me eyes watery bra. Having listened to you since 08, it's beyond inspiring to see how not only you've grown into a stand up lad, partner and dad but how your music has reflected your growth, and shared some of the painful trials you've had to overcome with your listeners. I'm older and taller than you by a decent wack but I'm not too proud to admit you're one lad I look up to bruz. Keep doing you, you're literally the last of a dying breed and you've helped so many ppl fight their own demons by sharing yours thru the pen n pad 👌🏼❤️❤️❤️

The junkies had no problem with calling the cops on him and yet he took an 8 month jail sentence to cover for them? Sounds a bit suss tbh. The news reported the incident very differently but if it went down as nter says it did then he chose the "code" over his pregnant wife and went to jail and missed the birth of his kid out of sheer stupidity.

Love how everyone in jail is such a good boy in his mind. Ask the families they left behind or the families they terrorized with there goodboy actions that landed them in jail.

Mad interview but what’s he mean Sydney’s not like america with projects and big sky scraper buildings. Sydney has massive skyscrapers, it’s a big city. And he’s grown up in housing commission flats, we may not call them projects but we have massive high rise housing blocks and shit, I’ve grown up in em. Dunno what he was saying there. I’ve been to housing project areas in both LA and New York and it honestly feels like different areas of Sydney, the big New York ones are similar to the Sydney city public housing and the LA ones are pretty similar to what’s out west. Anyway props, very real interview
