I love how Michael talks about the old masters he is so humble he doesnt realize he is one of the new masters. Such class and such finesse a true master

Michael - You began your set with a routine by my mentor Herb Zarrow (Revolving Aces)! Close-Up Card Magic opened the world of card magic for me too! I was lucky to grow up in northern NJ, just a short bus trip to NYC where I got a chance to see so many greats in their prime at local restaurants where we would meet after Tannen's closed on Saturday afternoons. This was the mid 70's thru early 80's. Harry was a gem and I wish him another 50 years!

Thank you John. To have Herb Zarrow as your mentor must have been awesome. He was connected to Vernon, Ed Balducci and so many other great masters. His routine is a gem, that Ace Production wouldn’t look any different if you could do it for real - that is the sign of a well designed piece of magic. Thanks for your kind words.

@@MichaelVincentMagic Herb was awesome as a person and as a magician. I miss him dearly. He would often have many a wonderful magician either stay with him or stop by for dinner which enabled me to meet so many who have since passed on: Dai Vernon, Charlie Miller, Johnny Thompson and others. Luckily much of his material was captured in David Ben's book "Zarrow - A Lifetime of Magic" which I had the privilege to proof read as Herb & David were writing it. Looking forward to your next video!

I haven’t seen or done the last routine in years, but I’ve never seen it done this well. You’ve made it massively more deceptive! And thank you for the inspiration and insight!

Michael Vincent is such an amazing magician! He’s been a big influence on me, especially with cards and coins. Michael opened my eyes and had me look at things differently, even effects I already knew. I have his first 3 DVD collections and I love them! Not only that, more than once he’s been kind enough to answer questions I emailed him. I actually picked up a copy of “Close-Up Card Magic” because Mr. Vincent mentions it so often.

Michael, really enjoying this series. I used revolving aces as one of the routines to get my membership into the Magic Castle. Larry Jennings was one of my judges and after this effect he said "well done". What a thrill!

This just pop up on my YT feed. Thanks for this. I got this book when I was 12 (1979?) but didn't really use it. In my early 20s I worked on the Turn over change. Then the last few years I have gone to it to get new (for me) fun stuff to do. Thanks for this :)

Beautiful handling and routining Michael, from the pages of such a true Classic of Card Magic. Your clean-up at the end of Revolving Aces has taught me something that I've overlooked for years! 👍

Thanks Barry. With all the stuff being published today. It’s wonderful to go back in time and re-discover these beautiful effects. What I love about this sequence is the simple fact that I can go straight into it with a borrowed deck - shuffled deck in use. No mucking about. Direct clean magic.

Quite simply exceptional! Such reverence and respect for your fellow magicians, the ones who have gone before. You Sir have helped me more times than i can count when i feel my magic is becoming a little too " comfort zone " if i can put it that way. Its on the other side of the comfort zone that we find expression, excellence and mastery! You have taught me that. As always my friend peace and love in abundance! ♦️♠️♥️♣️

Your voice combined with your story telling, your knowledge of the history of the craft, and your personal touches to every video are just perfection. It truly makes me smile when I see a new notification from your channel. I am still new to all of this (cards) and I just want to say thanks for being my guide into this fascinating world. Thank you.

Absolutely brilliant!Star performance! All three routines were amazing but the first one blew my socks off!The skill of doing amazing sleights without detection is awesome and when they’re done to the high degree that you do them makes it look like total miracles and with the stories that goes with each routine,it brings them all alive and intriguing. Stunning, bravo! The books are to die for!!!Beautiful.Thank You.👏

Thank you Kelvin. I appreciate your feedback. I have been doing those routines for 43 years. The last routine took longer to master because I wanted every aspect of The Lorayne Poker Deal to be perfect. You be are correct, when sleight of hand execution reaches the point of absolute mastery it because magical. I don’t see any point in taking a routine like Harry’s and substituting easier techniques just to make it “doable”. I don’t believe that, I believe in mastering the routines no matter how complex or demanding. If I can do it, I don’t perform it. Cheers to you buddy ♣️♥️♠️♦️🃏
