My mom enlisted in the Army back in the 80’s. She told me that during grenade training they first used a dummy so that they could develop their throw and know how hard to throw to get it the right distance away. She spent a lot of time with the dummy grenades. Her rhythm was throw, duck, then pop up to see where it landed. Well, she rose to the level of her training. When it came time for the real thing she threw, ducked, then popped up. The sergeant reacted immediately, tackling her and likely saving her from a face full of shrapnel.

Great episode 😂 "Do r'tards KNOW they're r'tards?" I'd put money on Michael finding a good match one day, and can appreciate his current mood of dating not being worth the effort. You're likely not going to find a future marriage-worthy partner in a bar. I think you have to find affinity groups and look for opportunities there (ie. hiking, rock climbing, sky diving, church groups, masked ball sex clubs, bukakki & knitting groups, etc).

I read a book about the buildings in England that were built by the Roman’s. In some of the walls and foundations, you can see 3 distinct building periods, the Roman, the “Viking,” and then the modern. I think that is really cool. In America, If something lasts more than 50 years, we call it historic. 50 years for the Brits is “just getting broken in.” Wasn’t York one of the main Roman bases?
