So true.. I made my life so much harder by getting involved with drugs. Before the drugs I could accomplish anything, now I can barely pay my bills. I want to live the normal life, yea it’s not perfect but it’s easier than the life I’m living now!

Lillo does a great impression of De Niro in the first part, bang on with the facial expressions. Best I've ever seen! He was perfect for the part as De Niro's son in A Bronx Tale and astonished me to learn he had never acted professionally before that movie. It's ironic that the message in the story rings true to his own life and he actually learned from it. Remember his screen father always said, "the saddest thing in life is wasted talent". In some ways that film nearly mirrored his own real life experience. He nearly threw away his acting talent by making a few wrong choices in life and hanging out with the wrong people, but learned his lesson, got on the right path and is back acting again! Not many people could come back from his situation and a 10-year prison stretch as a reformed character and be able to do acting work again.. He paid his dues to society, and still is, and that has earned him a lot of respect from people and got him offers of work like from Michael Franzese. He still is a capable talented actor, and has a long career ahead of him I'm sure and will always be remembered for his lead role in that first iconic movie he did. Imagine being chosen to play a real role alongside De Niro in a major movie when you've never acted before!! Bob saw talent in him.

Life often gives you lessons and some can be hard learned lessons..and these hard lessons are like tests on a persons character and how they want to live going forward..that's the way to look at it..you can pick yourself up, learn from the lesson and even use it for positive, we have that choice. No matter how much you screwed up.

Nothing but Respect for you and LILO. My children’s mother just passed at the age of 44 from addiction. It’s actually what separated us. You can’t have 2 people in love addicted to drugs when one of them decides enough is enough. The biggest regret in my life is that I never talked to her again after we divorced. She called, Txted, and wrote to me. But we had done that so many times before…..I knew what would happen. I’m not sure how I did it…it was not easy, I hear myself in LILO, talking about “Dope Sick”….There is nothing worse. I had just watched the Movie which led me to your channel. So glad I found it. A Bronx Tale is one of the gratest movie's ever made. But Lilo's role in Renaissance Man when he read Shakespeare in the rain, in my humble opinion was one of the best scenes of any movie made, he was so believable in that moment, it felt like I was standing in the rain with him listening to every word. However, I was deeply moved by this exchange between two outstanding human beings. And A Bronx Tale was about any working class neighborhood in NYC, especially the Italo-American communities. Lordy, the stories I could tell. And the moments and characters that A Bronx Tale reminded me of. Wish I were at mama's kitchen table picking on soppresatta, mozzarella, bread dunked in olive oil or wine, plump olives while listening to Lillo and Michael. The fact that you would implement your faith in Jesus in this interview in this world where serving Christ is suddenly seeming to become taboo has definitely earned my subscription. People today want to be so open about sex, drugs, profanity and etc but want you to keep your spirituality private. Thank you brother Michael. You’re def an inspiration that we shouldn’t be afraid to be open about Christ. Serving Jesus is not a crutch. We have our own crutches that we use to help lift others.

Michael Franzese has turned into an amazing man given the past life style he was accustomed to. Lillo Brancato Jr. has a big heart and a lot of passion. I'm sure everybody wishes him well and respect after the turmoil that wasted years of his young life. Bless.

Glad to hear that Lillo is out there talking to those who could make the bad decisions that cause them to go down the road to destruction. Great conversation. As a Vietnam Era Veteran I can assure you the Navy turned a lot of lives around because you either made the cut or you didn't. I hope Lillo gets another shot in the film industry because of the experiences he will bring a lot of SUBSTANCE to the roles he gets. Acting and the arts in general are used as very powerful tools. Acting has been proven over and over again to be an antidote for combat related PTSD.

What a wonderful piece of work Mr Franzese! This is a story of true redemption from two men who were on top of the world and had it crumble all down. Only to find Christ and redemption! God bless you Mr Franzese and thank you for your content. Be healthy, be well and love yourself!

I agree. You can go to church everyday for the rest of your life and still not understand what Christianity is nor the power it brings to your life. As long as I stay in the Word everyday and pray, I’m good.

I love Atheism and the real power it offers you. All religions, every one, seek to keep you like a sheep, stupid, asking all the wrong questions & on your knees. When you believe in yourself truly & shed the foolish desire for an afterlife, you realize how precious life is and that you are god of it while you are here. Accept that & also accept all gods and jesus's are made up by HUMANS. Think before we had language, was there a god? Nope. We couldn't even convey the thought. Be god of you & your own world and accept Atheism as unstoppable.
