Paolo live is a thing to behold. His vocals are timeless. He's an odd character in the industry. He has no interest in being famous, doesn't enjoy interviews and generally just marches to the beat of his own drum. He was potentially being pegged as a poster boy indie kid at the start of his career but he just disappears into the ether for a bit and then comes roaring out of the echoes every so often with an absolute banger of a record. His live at the Leon Loft videos are well worth checking out as is Candy live at the Isle of Wight. He does a wonderful tribute to his Grandad Autumn from Bush Studios. The Live from the Bittersweet tracks are some of his most recent. An artist who flies so far under the radar given his talent its criminal.

Ive been going to gigs since 1975. My wife basically dragged me to see Paolo live a couple of years ago. I've seen some brilliant singers in my time. Believe me when I say, he was easily as good as the best ive seen in all that time. Like all good singers, he puts himself into every song. Absolute passion from Paolo in everything he does. And hes such a humble person. Also, great band he he has here. But he can walk into a bar with his own acoustic and just with that and his voice have a crowd in the palm of his hand. Hes a talented player too not just a singer

Paolo's voice is amazing. I can hear his Scottish accent always. He was from the next town to me. Has truly put Scotland on the map.

I really enjoy watching reactions to this masterpiece. I'm italian (Paolo is of italian descent but a proud Scotsman as it should be), I love Scotland and I think that if italian people had the same craving and longing for freedom as most Scots, Italy would be a much better country. I've listened to this song thousands of times and still cry every single time I hear it. Some people die for freedom, other people are happy to be sheep.

Then see what he did with the Rolling Stones Gimme Shelter ( recorded for charity as requested by Jagger 😯 )

I'm picky about that quote being used in mediocre material.... but this is perfect imho.
