might be a bit late, but if you're doing turret health management, you can place full health turrets and shoot them once each with your pistol to increase the health of your stacks of damaged turrets...

Yeah used that trick before to use less inventory space lol. Once I almost run out of undamaged turrets, I might "balance" them again but for now I want to not waste points from the total health pool. Actually I just changed my mind, it probably WOULD have been better to do this earlier

An interesting concept for a play through. For my space age play I went with a 25X modifier for pollution contribution to evolution and 0 for the time modifier. I felt it was unreasonable to have stuff on Gleba evolving for all the time I am spending on the other planets. Initially I didn't care about the artillery achievement, but watching this run has inspired me to aim for that too.

you can use gates instead of pipes to make the spawning of biters circuit network controlable. Biters will spawn on an open gate, wont on a closed gate.

Yes, still works

Yeah it's easier, and cheaper too actually (though main cost is ammo). You do end up with lot of individual "power networks" however, which normally is bad for performance. However, I don't know if that holds true for power networks without anything connected to them.
