Michael thank you for this interview. I'm grateful for you and your work as a brother papist. I am a former protestant and convert of almost twenty years. Now l’m a ten year old priest that really appreciates the good work you do in the culture war. I liked your book Speechless as it set the stage for me to understand why we are where we are. I used to say the TLM and smoke cigars so we have a fair amount in common. Thank you.

I am straight married adult woman. But I was molested many times as a child and it really messed me up. Especially when I was molested by an adult woman at the age of 11. Probably a decade after that I struggled with attraction to the same sex and even things that are so evil I can only talk to God about it. All I can say is praise the Lord for the power of the blood.God, in his love and mercy towards me, removed even the stain of sin. I can’t even remember the pornography I witnessed or the gross things I took part in. He liberated me from all of it. And I will praise His name for all of eternity.❤❤❤❤❤

It took me 13 years to start to detransition. Just let him know he is loved. When told I was living wrong, it only made me dig my heels in more. I had to see a sliver of my experience used in an obvious wrong way for me to wake up. Seeing that children were being targeted and folks were taking away others constitutional free speech rights with pronouns, it made me halt in my tracks and look at myself.

I think a lot of fellow Christians want us to be celibate forever. I say this as a man who is bisexual. There's this belief that men like me cannot be good husbands to women. Even when we don't act on our same sex desires, we are still not accepted as potential husbands-despite the fact that we bisexual men are still attracted to women.
@justthatonepersonsopinion
@justthatonepersonsopinion 4 ай бұрын
@@Alexander44665 That's really terrible I'm sorry. I actually know someone ( in my tiny town) who is bi and he got married to a woman. They have children together and he is a good person/ partner. I don't think it's bi men can't be good husbands. I think it's no different than someone with only an attraction to women or men not cheating or stepping out of the relationship. I mean everyone has attractions to ppl they are not with they just choose to not act on it. I see no difference with a bi man ( he can choose to not step out and be fulfilled by his partner). I think women tend to avoid dating bi men because they are already nervous about the possibility of cheating ( just with women) , and if he likes men too that opens up a bunch more options for cheating. 2nd that may make the woman think she can't fully fulfill the guy if he has an attraction to men ( her not being enough). 3 Rd she may not be able to move past the thought of him with a man. I think his chances for a relationship are higher if he has the attraction to men, but hasn't acted on it though. I do think there are women out here who would accept it as I've seen it happen ( in my small world). I hope you are able to find the right person for you! I don't believe in same sex relations of course, but that does not mean I think you shouldn't find love and happiness. It's really sad to see so many people who say they are Christian and they love Jesus, but find it ok to judge other people. I leave all of that up to our creator and to the person. If you ask Jesus to bring you your life partner, and you are meant to have one then he will. Some of us are called to be single ( but it's a smaller portion) and the rest do have a perfect match out there. 🙂

So Were you actually possessed? Did you have exorcism? Or how did you heal? I’m curious because my friend’s sister was introduced to “Santeria” some demonic rituals and then she tried to get closer to Jesus but something weird happened to her. She lost her rationality, she cut her hair herself like a crazy person, threw herself down the stairs, and supposedly she might have schizophrenia. I’m praying for her, I never hang out with her but as a Catholic we also believe in possession. My friend, is not a Cristian but I’ve been talking to her about my Catholic faith and told her that I’m going to try to help her too, so we can figure out if is really schizophrenia or possession. We must always share Truth - in 2008, I was a gay-identified man, in a committed, monogamous same-sex relationship, active in an affirming church, then found myself in an ICU where the medical team classified me clinically dead after a 22-minute flatline. I experienced death, judgement and hell. When I couldn’t take any more demonic torment, I cried out in repentance, “Jesus!” and I heard the Savior say, “I am here.” At that moment, I saw with my eyes the Wind of the Holy Spirit fill my ICU and with great power, He pick up Satan and the demonic and blew them out of the room. On that day, my life changed, the redemptive Blood of Jesus cleared my mind of perversion, and completely healed and restored every failing organ. Glory to God!

Have you tried reaching out to him and telling him you'll support him as your son? You'll always be there for him? You'll try to understand him and where he's at? So many people crave understanding and compassion. Leave the judgment to Jesus.

As a woman who identified as Christian lesbian for over 12 years I absolutely agree 100% with what these 2 are saying! I am happily married to an incredible man with 2 children now but the struggle at that time was so very real! God changed my heart, my desires and my mind and I am so incredibly in love with my husband but back then I was a hurting and struggling young woman. Lexa also touched on something that I noticed a lot in the gay community, the vast majority of people lost their innocence at startlingly young ages in very nonconsensual ways.

I was "played" with, by another child who had obviously lost his own innocence. I thank God I was not messed with by an older person because I was always attracted to men ( I am a XX woman), but my sexuality was awoken at a horribly young age, and that is so damaging, because it ruined my childhood, my innocence was exchanged for being self aware in ways that should have not blossomed until puberty.

That's the secret the enemy wants suppressed, that deviant sexual identities almost always spring from childhood when perversion is experienced, either via sexual abuse or visual or sensual stimulation of a child. Another door the enemy uses to situate sexually deviant behaviour in a child is spiritually if the parents or home have been defiled. Nobody is born gay/trans.

I think you're right that this can happen with religious people. But not always, I think that's a generalisation. For a lot of Christians having your child say they are gay or trans is very difficult to process. Sometimes, we act in haste, react badly. Largely as we are dealing with our own sins. God has to pull us up, correct us and show us the truth. We all need prayer and guidance. The closer we walk with Him the less likely this would happen, or we will hear from Him more swiftly.

I identified as a butch lesbian since the age of 10. I continued that life for over 40 years. I was invited a go to a Church by a friend. I said these words" Lord Jesus come into my heart, I repent of my sins, I make you my Lord and Savior." It took a few years for me to totally stop identifying as gay but in my heart I knew it almost immediately after saying those words. I didn't have to do a thing. Jesus started cleaning me from the inside out very gently. Not only did he change my desire for another woman, he made me the woman I was meant to be. No I'm not with a man. I have no desire to be with anyone "as a couple". All sexual desire is gone too. I can now look at a man or woman and admire their beauty without any lust or attraction whatsoever. I wake with Jesus, I walk throughout the whole day in the company of Jesus and when I lay my head in my pillow JESUS is right there watching over me all night! ,,To God be the Glory!!!

This is the reason I stopped teaching drama at school. When I didn’t have enough males to fill a male role, I felt very uncomfortable asking girls to dress up and act as a male (and vice versa). I realized the slippery slope of “identifying as…something that they were not as created as.” Even one of the skits we did had a student act out as a dog. All of the skits were simple and well received with Christian themes (at a Christian school). But seeing documentaries where our culture is so confused, I felt it violated my conscious to teach drama because I didn’t want to add to the confusion.

@@dubosesjoy yah it's extremely blurry what kind of things can lead us into strongholds. Kids are often just too young to always be expected to segregate the lines between them, even teenagers and adults can be tricked into things. I never had an experience of acting like something I wasn't persé like a dog or a woman, but the first serious instructor I had was an effeminate man, which by itself is okay. He was married to a woman with kids of his own (at least I think, he was very private of his personal life because he didn't want us finding some of his previous work), but it became a common theme in our classes after the one year he served us that great actors act a bit gay.

I’m a Christian. I love the testimony of this couple and I’m so thankful that I watched it today. This has totally changed the way I think about people who identify as gay or transgender. I was shocked to hear that both were Christians before God changed their desires/life. But after listening to their story, it’s obvious that this sin is no different than other sins and that Christians struggle it just like alcoholism and pornography. I have asked for God to forgive me for being judgmental and I will pray for all those Christians that are still struggling with this sin. Thank you so much for sharing.

You are right. It is no different than a couple doing the dirty before their marriage and before God has blessed their union. All sin must be nailed to the cross. And we must do our best, even though it is so hard to, to not let our flesh cloud the image of God, who is a jealous God, such that we would try to tell God how to run His kingdom. I have wanted to marry both a man and a woman since I was 5 years old. I first had this desire when watching the scene in Dirty Dancing where Baby dances between Patrick Swayze and his dance partner. I carried that throughout life, into my relationships, and always battled with the feeling that my monogamous heterosexual relationships were incomplete. I realize now that the desire emerged when my parents went through an extremely volatile divorce and I was taken away from my father. Imagining myself held between a man and a woman gave me comfort and stemmed from my innocent longing to see my family reunify. Childhood trauma holds so much weight in distorted intimate partnerships. I appreciate that this woman’s experiences were highlighted as the source of her confusion.

In a public debate forum, where you aren't really trying to convince the person you are talking to, but the crowd. @@grantstratton2239 If society permitted fathers to fulfill their roles, her mother might not have made such a bold statement, as she would fear accountability from the father. @kayremoob9579 Weird that you ask. I happen to be a family law attorney. In my state, the law regarding custody is gender-neutral, but moms are far and away getting more custody. There are a variety of human factors involved: 1. Men tend to commit more crimes of violence (though I admit some studies are coming out saying the numbers are closer to even when you factor in all illegal acts of aggression, including abuse, stalking, and the controlling / jealous apsects of the cycle of domestic violence). Probably, society could use a better understanding of how women express aggression differently then men and how to police it. 2. Personal experience says men are more likely to voluntarily give up parenting time. 3. Parental kidnapping statutes are seldom enforced or taken seriously. Especially if it's a woman witholding. 4. Men are seldom taken seriously in our society when cast in the role of a victim. Women almost always are. 5. Men tend to be punished more severely than women for the exact same wrongdoing (this one isn't just my own experience, the US dept. of Justice statistics affirm this). 6. Women have picked up that protective orders are easy to abuse to get an early litigation advantage, and it protects them from any subsequent parental kidnapping claims. For whatever reason, men just aren't doing the same. 7. Parental Alienation got taken out of the DSM as a diagnosis, and for a while, the unscrupulous were allowed to get away with arguing there was no such thing or the issue wasn't important.

@@grantstratton2239 1. Examine the differences by race, and you'll see a common factor: the absence of fathers. Why is this? In the 1970s, government policies encouraged women to leave their partners. 2. Yes, the mother is difficult to work with, society doesn't support fatherhood, and the system is unjust. It's shocking. 3. No. Police will say it's a civil matter and that the order is open to interpretation. 4 - 5. Correct. As a man, why even bother? You answered point 2. 6. They do, but the apposing party tells them to hide till court. 7. Shocking, but a judge will simply dismiss it regardless. It's all about money. The system profits from tearing American families apart, and no one will do anything about it, except throw up technicalities. That's fine, but don't be surprised as culture and the country deteriorate.

Oof that's really messed up. Shunning your son for his sexuality is really messed up. He might end up doing that with you if don't accept his autonomy. Look I get that you think you'll make him change to save his soul by doing that, but Jesus didn't "go no contact" with Mary Magdaline or the leprous. He embraced them and not shun them. That's so messed up. As a son I'll tell you, if my mom or dad did that. There would be no going back as I would see it as overly cruel and manipulative. I'm telling you this to help you. Put your religious beliefs aside, keep it to yourself and just love and embrace your son and whoever he decides to be with, be there for him. It's not like he killed a person or raped somebody. Don't shun him. Learn more about sexuality and leave it out of your personal relationship with your son. If he decides to be an atheist or convert to another religion; would you then shun him too? Trust me keep your religious beliefs to yourself. Otherwise, you're not going to have a son in your life anymore either because you'll drive him away or he'll cut you off if he continues the marriage and adopts kids. He's not going to want to have an antagonist in his life telling him his family is a sin. Think about it. I know you think it's out of love but that's not how it'll come off. trust me.

How dare you say the Mother has to keep her religious beliefes to herself? Obviously you do not know the scriptures, and surely are religiousphobic. For what it matters, Jesus did NOT EMBRACE MARY MAGDALENE. He Said to her " go and sin no more"... And because She did what He Said, they were friends.... Don't get it twisted, if you think sin is a nothing, meditate on the fact that the Second Person of the Holy Trinity encarnated into a man and came to die a HORRIBLE death on the cross to save your bottom from hell, and here you are, spitting on His face! He don't accept no gay marriage at ALL. He WAS THE DESIGNER OF MARRIAGE AND WHAT HE SAID WAS" A MAN SHALL LEAVE HIS FAMILY AND MARRY A WOMAN". Sure the Mother should not Shun her Son, however, and as harsh as this can sound, BUT, its bíblical, God MUST come in first Over your family, even your Son. Note: straight people get attracted all the time too, we are people too with all kind of emotions, but most of US don't Walk arround sleeping with other people, and if you do, you REPENT! we too make sacrifices, Control our desires and etc, that's the way you go to Heaven, yep, no ONE has it easy!
