It took me 13 years to start to detransition. Just let him know he is loved. When told I was living wrong, it only made me dig my heels in more. I had to see a sliver of my experience used in an obvious wrong way for me to wake up. I am straight married adult woman. But I was molested many times as a child and it really messed me up. Especially when I was molested by an adult woman at the age of 11. Probably a decade after that I struggled with attraction to the same sex and even things that are so evil I can only talk to God about it. All I can say is praise the Lord for the power of the blood.God, in his love and mercy towards me, removed even the stain of sin. I think a lot of fellow Christians want us to be celibate forever. I say this as a man who is bisexual. There's this belief that men like me cannot be good husbands to women. Even when we don't act on our same sex desires, we are still not accepted as potential husbands-despite the fact that we bisexual men are still attracted to women.
@justthatonepersonsopinion5 ай бұрын
@@Alexander44665 That's really terrible I'm sorry. I actually know someone ( in my tiny town) who is bi and he got married to a woman. They have children together and he is a good person/ partner. I don't think it's bi men can't be good husbands. I think it's no different than someone with only an attraction to women or men not cheating or stepping out of the relationship. I mean everyone has attractions to ppl they are not with they just choose to not act on it. I see no difference with a bi man ( he can choose to not step out and be fulfilled by his partner). I think women tend to avoid dating bi men because they are already nervous about the possibility of cheating ( just with women) , and if he likes men too that opens up a bunch more options for cheating. 2nd that may make the woman think she can't fully fulfill the guy if he has an attraction to men ( her not being enough). 3 Rd she may not be able to move past the thought of him with a man. I think his chances for a relationship are higher if he has the attraction to men, but hasn't acted on it though. I do think there are women out here who would accept it as I've seen it happen ( in my small world). I hope you are able to find the right person for you! I don't believe in same sex relations of course, but that does not mean I think you shouldn't find love and happiness. It's really sad to see so many people who say they are Christian and they love Jesus, but find it ok to judge other people. I leave all of that up to our creator and to the person. If you ask Jesus to bring you your life partner, and you are meant to have one then he will. Some of us are called to be single ( but it's a smaller portion) and the rest do have a perfect match out there. 🙂

I experienced death, judgement and hell. When I couldn’t take any more demonic torment, I cried out in repentance, “Jesus!” and I heard the Savior say, “I am here.” At that moment, I saw with my eyes the Wind of the Holy Spirit fill my ICU and with great power, He pick up Satan and the demonic and blew them out of the room. When I was realizing that I was experiencing same sex attraction I prayed for it to go away from 6-8th grade. It didn't go away. I leaned into it for years leaving the faith. I think you're right that this can happen with religious people. But not always, I think that's a generalisation. For a lot of Christians having your child say they are gay or trans is very difficult to process. Sometimes, we act in haste, react badly. Largely as we are dealing with our own sins. God has to pull us up, correct us and show us the truth. We all need prayer and guidance. The closer we walk with Him the less likely this would happen, or we will hear from Him more swiftly.

As a woman who identified as Christian lesbian for over 12 years I absolutely agree 100% with what these 2 are saying! I am happily married to an incredible man with 2 children now but the struggle at that time was so very real! God changed my heart, my desires and my mind and I am so incredibly in love with my husband but back then I was a hurting and struggling young woman. Lexa also touched on something that I noticed a lot in the gay community, the vast majority of people lost their innocence at startlingly young ages in very nonconsensual ways.

I was "played" with, by another child who had obviously lost his own innocence. I thank God I was not messed with by an older person because I was always attracted to men ( I am a XX woman), but my sexuality was awoken at a horribly young age, and that is so damaging, because it ruined my childhood, my innocence was exchanged for being self aware in ways that should have not blossomed until puberty.

That's the secret the enemy wants suppressed, that deviant sexual identities almost always spring from childhood when perversion is experienced, either via sexual abuse or visual or sensual stimulation of a child. This is the reason I stopped teaching drama at school. When I didn’t have enough males to fill a male role, I felt very uncomfortable asking girls to dress up and act as a male (and vice versa). I realized the slippery slope of “identifying as…something that they were not as created as.” Even one of the skits we did had a student act out as a dog. All of the skits were simple and well received with Christian themes (at a Christian school). But seeing documentaries where our culture is so confused, I felt it violated my conscious to teach drama because I didn’t want to add to the confusion.
@jabrark58285 ай бұрын
@@dubosesjoy yah it's extremely blurry what kind of things can lead us into strongholds. Kids are often just too young to always be expected to segregate the lines between them, even teenagers and adults can be tricked into things. I never had an experience of acting like something I wasn't persé like a dog or a woman, but the first serious instructor I had was an effeminate man, which by itself is okay. He was married to a woman with kids of his own (at least I think, he was very private of his personal life because he didn't want us finding some of his previous work), but it became a common theme in our classes after the one year he served us that great actors act a bit gay.

I carried that throughout life, into my relationships, and always battled with the feeling that my monogamous heterosexual relationships were incomplete. I realize now that the desire emerged when my parents went through an extremely volatile divorce and I was taken away from my father. Imagining myself held between a man and a woman gave me comfort and stemmed from my innocent longing to see my family reunify. Childhood trauma holds so much weight in distorted intimate partnerships. I appreciate that this woman’s experiences were highlighted as the source of her confusion.

I’m a Christian. I love the testimony of this couple and I’m so thankful that I watched it today. This has totally changed the way I think about people who identify as gay or transgender. I was shocked to hear that both were Christians before God changed their desires/life. But after listening to their story, it’s obvious that this sin is no different than other sins and that Christians struggle it just like alcoholism and pornography. I have asked for God to forgive me for being judgmental and I will pray for all those Christians that are still struggling with this sin. Thank you so much for sharing.

You are right. It is no different than a couple doing the dirty before their marriage and before God has blessed their union. All sin must be nailed to the cross. And we must do our best, even though it is so hard to, to not let our flesh cloud the image of God, who is a jealous God, such that we would try to tell God how to run His kingdom. If I were in charge of letting people thru the gate then no one would ever get in!!!

@Momofukudoodoowindu that's a huge stretch; the sin of a couple having premarital sex is comparable to a someone chopping off their breasts? That's like saying someone who's stole a candy bar is comparable to someone who has committed murder.. You seem to be thinking too emotionally. Stop and think..
@Momofukudoodoowindu5 ай бұрын
@@undoctrinati0n Yes. It is. The premise of both of these sins is to believe yourself as a little-g god. It breaks the commandments thou shalt have no other god before me ... which includes your own self. Whether it is you believing you are capable of being the opposite sex and taking hormones or whether it is you believe you are able to covet and live a perverted promiscuous life style. Both are rooted in the same philosophy.

I'm blown away by them receiving more rejection from Christians than non-Christians. To me, to deny that people can repent, or have repented, is to deny Christ himself and his gift. Especially in a situation like this where there is so much trauma associated with their past.

At least her mom was honest tho. Kinda based.
@grantstratton22395 ай бұрын
@@kayremoob9579 There's a time and a place for based. In her case, what her Mom said was hurtful and alienating. I think there are two good places for being based: 1. To remind someone who you are on the side of, of their own beliefs and / or obligations that they are letting slip; 2. In a public debate forum, where you aren't really trying to convince the person you are talking to, but the crowd. There might be more, but in general, as soon as the person you are talking to perceives you to be their enemy, they stop listening and start fighting.

@@grantstratton2239 If society permitted fathers to fulfill their roles, her mother might not have made such a bold statement, as she would fear accountability from the father. It's surprising how these situations frequently arise when there is no father present. Perhaps increased government intervention could address the issues created by family court. Thoughts?
@grantstratton22395 ай бұрын
@kayremoob9579 Weird that you ask. I happen to be a family law attorney. In my state, the law regarding custody is gender-neutral, but moms are far and away getting more custody. There are a variety of human factors involved: 1. Men tend to commit more crimes of violence (though I admit some studies are coming out saying the numbers are closer to even when you factor in all illegal acts of aggression, including abuse, stalking, and the controlling / jealous apsects of the cycle of domestic violence). Probably, society could use a better understanding of how women express aggression differently then men and how to police it. 2. Personal experience says men are more likely to voluntarily give up parenting time. 3. Parental kidnapping statutes are seldom enforced or taken seriously. Especially if it's a woman witholding. 4. Men are seldom taken seriously in our society when cast in the role of a victim. Women almost always are. 5. Men tend to be punished more severely than women for the exact same wrongdoing (this one isn't just my own experience, the US dept. of Justice statistics affirm this). 6. Women have picked up that protective orders are easy to abuse to get an early litigation advantage, and it protects them from any subsequent parental kidnapping claims. For whatever reason, men just aren't doing the same. 7. Parental Alienation got taken out of the DSM as a diagnosis, and for a while, the unscrupulous were allowed to get away with arguing there was no such thing or the issue wasn't important.
@kayremoob95795 ай бұрын
@@grantstratton2239 1. Examine the differences by race, and you'll see a common factor: the absence of fathers. Why is this? In the 1970s, government policies encouraged women to leave their partners. 2. Yes, the mother is difficult to work with, society doesn't support fatherhood, and the system is unjust. It's shocking. 3. No. Police will say it's a civil matter and that the order is open to interpretation. 4 - 5. Correct. As a man, why even bother? You answered point 2. 6. They do, but the apposing party tells them to hide till court. 7. Shocking, but a judge will simply dismiss it regardless. It's all about money. The system profits from tearing American families apart, and no one will do anything about it, except throw up technicalities. That's fine, but don't be surprised as culture and the country deteriorate.

I have 7 children and was always asked if I was catholic, I finally just started saying yes. Lol . Open womb? No ..but did what I and my doctors agreed that was safe. Today they are all grown and I am the richest woman alive!! I started with a little apartment, me & my husband barely had anything. We were blessed then, with more work than he could handle. I think that the church and our friends helped support us and as we went through life, God really made the way for us. Most days I feel like a queen, with all my prince & princesses. What an amazing blessing!
