An ambidextrous painter! I'm so glad I found your videos, they're wonderful!
@cincar448 жыл бұрын
Mr. Lang, I used to do a form of Tole painting. But I became disabled & the medications I have to take cause my hands to tremor a large portion of every day so I had to give up doing my art. But I ran across your beautiful abstract work and thought maybe, just maybe, I could be creative again by doing abstract paintings similar to your fantastic works of art! So I bought all 4 of your instructional videos! I can't begin to tell you how much you've inspired me to learn, and how very happy I will be to get back into being creative again! I'd given up all hope of being able to express myself through art which has been a part of my life (on a novice, self-taught level) my whole life. It's always brought me such joy and everyone loves what I do/did. So I wanted to thank you from the bottom of my heart and inner soul for sharing your expertise, instructions, and your gorgeous art!! You've given me hope again!!!! I'm in the process of gathering the basic supplies I need. I think the last thing on my list is the Liquitex Medium & I'll get by without the rounded bristle brushes to start!! Wishing you joy each and every day Mix. Thank You!!!!

Michael, this is fantastic, I can see that you really enjoy your painting. It is so amazing to watch this paint develop. One may think that a painting like this could be over worked, but when you add each stroke, line, value area, it just gets better and better. I enjoy watching you paint with two hands, and that you have more than one brush in a hand. Your work is very efficient to make use of the mood and feeling at the time your are building the forms. Your work is great, but watching you work is even greater. Thanks for what you do. We all appreciate watching these videos. Thanks again :)

Just watching the beginning was like a true lightbulb moment, seeing your techniques demonstrated in tutorial form is fantastic it really helped me to understand your techniques. Any one really wanting to know how Michael does it please invest in his DVD's they are worth it! I was really pleased at the speed of despatch and delivery to the United Kingdom. I am going to buy the three remaining DVD's as soon as my finances allow it!

First of all I want to say thank you for responding to the questions we ask you. I am very new to painting. I love it but there is so much I don't know. I do abstract painting, just letting the colors lead the way. I understand your wash method now I think and it is beautiful. About the mediums though. I use regular store bought canvases. Should I be using a medium on it before I paint? Currently I just get out the paint and start. I also use some of the lesser quality flat acrylic paints on some of my first paintings. On any painting, should I use a medium of some kind when I am done to seal the paint or to protect the paint? Thank you again for taking the time to help us want to be artists.

This painting is beautiful. I wish you could give a little instruction on some of the steps your taking. Was there drying time between colors? Do you use any water to get those clear light colors? You do beautiful work. I wish I could be half as creative as you.
@MichaelLangArt10 жыл бұрын
Yes, there is plenty of drying time in between washes.I use medium for the washes. Water just breaks down the color ( the acrylic polymer material) and leaves the paint with a dead look.I don't use any.
@sandraheptinstall561310 жыл бұрын
