04:11 In case you didn't know, or hadn't mentioned it, that artwork is from the 1988 European product catalogue. That year mostly focused on what was released in the US in 86. By then Duke had been discontinued, You might also have noticed that Lowlight is missing - the orignal Lowlight didn't get an official release in Europe (although grey market / imported figures did appear in some shops)_

Boy, talk about a beloved franchise that went off the rails! I remember when the "Knight Creeper" figure came out not long after that character they lost all grounding in reality and I wasn't interested anymore. Thanks for sharing, takes me back.

Excellent video, almost bummed they’ve concluded! 😉. I like the analogy of the books as being a “journey”. Kind of an easy way to turn back the clock while flipping the pages.

Thanks! I'm looking forward to flipping through these again and again. Carson proves my theory that time travel is possible if you care enough. These are the best collected toy art books out there.

nice , as far as I'm aware Battle corp was the name for the basic military line where the other lines had the sub-team headings. I really liked that 94 bludd I had him a while back and even though his colours are garish he had one cool thing on him . his right arm had a hidden spike/blade in it. when you bend the elbow it would reveal the blade. it is interesting that a lot of the 94 card art was reused but the figure colours where changed , and you are Right the Hall Of Fame stuff is all the 12" things. I have that massive Jeep its was also known as the Action Man 4X4 in the 90's too. I had the version of stalker you liked but mine had bright neon yellow on him but I dubbed him Bolt Neck Stalker because if you look closely at the figure his neck has strange ridges on it. I think it was meant to be part of the uniform but it was never painted so he has a weird skin color bolt neck lol.

Mr Michael Mercy, I have a confession to make: I've never really been much of a GI Joe fan. A lot of it has to be I was born in 1989 waaaaaaaay long after the end of the Sunbow cartoon, but also I live in Sweden and here military toys are frowned upon for being "violent" and most of all "glamorizing war". But these books, all of these artwork that went in to this toyline is AMAZING! And I'm saying this as someone who never saw any of that in toy stores AT ALL!

On the guy named Gristle. I would say he's a Cobra. I noticed the background colors are red for Cobra's and blue for Joe's.

Kids in the 90's should have felt the same thrill as we did in the 80's, I was out of G.I. Joe by the time but for sure if I had been a kid then, my toy choice would have been G.I. Joe.

Cool Allthough my focus is on Palitoys ActionMan and Schildkröt ActionTeam i decided to start collecting modern Hasbro ActionMan too. (Lot of overlap) That Motorcycle "Strike Cycle" wich fires foam rockets was also released as a Modern Action Man vehicle but in black with orange decals. I have it. :)) Also owned the Baracuda years ago but got rid of it.. regret it now, i probably will never find one again for 2 dollars.. ;)) I would love to have these books. :))
