I have a month tryimg to i stal it, but cannot find the reverse wire on the back of the unit, the orange cable represented on the wire diagram on top of the unit does not work, tried it and nothing happens when in put it in reverse. It's the same, the clock cannot be changed with this unit. What you can do though is disconnect your car battery and reconnect it at 12:00 so that way the time will be right :)

Hi Matt, I honestly don't know the answer to that one. I doubt that it does though. You could possibly download an app from the Play Store on it though that might allow you to stream XM but i'm not 100% sure.

In 2024, the affiliate link is not the same unit. I bought it anyways thinking it was just an updated version. But a lot of problems. The radio antenna doesn't fit because the unit is so much shorter. The Canbus presets are not available for my 2008 mazda CX7 so I have not been able to figure out the steering wheel controls. The instructions are so vague, I am not 100% sure if it is a canbus issue or if it because Key1 wire is disconnected. I am not sure where to put the ground cable for my backup camera as the power harness only has a brown BACK cable meant to power the camera for the red cable. I think I will ground it the exterior ground of the antenna cable, but not too straight forward, why not just provide an easy ground? Overall, I wanted the product that seemed incredibly simple to install that you had in your video but got something entirely different!

Hey :) I haven't connected this one up yet but basically you plug it in the back of the radio (there is a reverse cam cable) and then run it to the back, then you would need to power the camera at the back of the car. Usually you can get power from the reverse light wires or something like that.

From what I know, apart from the time you do lose those other functions. I believe you can't even reset the clock unless you plug in the original unit again and do it that way. That's as far as I know anyway

Yeh the startup time is actually very fast. A lot faster than the startup time of the Eonon in my BMW.

Just received mine today. its quite a different unit they use now to the one in this video. still need to cut out the bits but no big deal there took 2 min. Issue i have is the harnessing. from my old factory head unit there are 2 harnesses. The large one like in this video and then a smaller one which i assume is carrying all the speaker connections as of now I have no sound. Another gripe is the screw holes don't quite line up but i think i can solve that with smaller screws ... Alas this hasn't quite worked out for me with out some faffing around as i think i'm going to have work out the speaker cabling. If anyone has any ideas i'd love to hear them.

Tim Simpson you have no sound because you have to wire the amp power wire. This turns on the Bose amp. The other issue is that the harness doesn’t go all the way in.

Hi Adam :) I couldn't say for 100% sure it would work but I believe it should. Ours was a 2009 with Bose also but ours wasn't the touchscreen.

What is left after your video is the question whether this head unit can replace the "info" and "clock" button that was on the traditional head unit? It has the same issue with the domes. I will sent it back. And I think there's the same company behind even the brand was XTrons. @MichaelRoninTV Hi Michael ... could solve it. I had to connect the ACC with the AMP cable to provide power to the amplifier. It works... but no sound on the rear speaker. Do you have sound on the rear speaker?

Ah right, I think it should still fit but maybe just double check with Seicane. The only problem with them is they will probably just say yes it does fit haha but to be honest they did ask me for all the info on this cars head unit and a photo of the dashboard so they could verify.

Any problems with battery drain? Iv got a similar unit and the same car and the battery dies around 36 hours of not being driven. It's not on auto sleep, iv set it to 30 seconds shutdown.

Nah it's off when ignition is off. Thinking maybe the power to canbus could be the problem as that's coming from the same wire connected to the battery.

Great video but for a radio that's DESIGNED to retain a 'factoty look', the end result should offer a factory fit. Not only did he have to cut out chunks of plastic but the radio still didn't sit flush. Video was very clear and detailed but not a fan of the radio.

@@bayerarellano3437 What you need is something called "camera retention harness" for Mazda. It has a factory plug on one end and RCA plug on the other end.

I made the mistake of buying from this company and ended up getting a used unit that someone else had paired their phone with and downloaded maps to, and it seems that they massively overheated it as well as it smells like burned electronics (and still does weeks later). I had to fix the touch screen calibration myself because it was way off and it also had illegal software installed on it. In going back and forth with support they want me to spend over $100 to ship it back to them so they can "look into" replacing it. It also doesn't work with any of my steering wheel controls in my Smart 453 and the mounting bracket doesn't work properly with the silver backing piece for the stereo mount because there are connectors in the way of it so I had to mount it without the extra backing piece. Oh yes, it also doesn't provide enough USB power to reliably run the USB carplay unit if you also have a thumb drive attached to it and it didn't come with the latest software for it (which was difficult to find). This all feels a lot like a scam to me so buyers beware.

I bought directly from them. Thankfully the burnt electronics smells seems to have gotten a bit less intense over time, but their customer service was absolutely horrible. I still ended up with a used unit that doesn't perform as advertised (for example it can't seem to program any of the steering wheel buttons and it's missing the SD car slot that they advertised on their page). The USB doesn't have enough power to properly power up the zBox USB Carplay dongle they sold me with the unit and it has illegal software installed on it that I am not even able to remove. I'm glad that your unit is working as advertised but I can tell you first hand that this is not always the case.

Unfortunately not. I tried fitting it multiple times and there was no way it was going to fit without trimming them off. Many other people have reached out to me about this video and have said they had to trim them off too. It's just different years/models/series of these cars. Some need the trimming and some don't.

Way too many adjustments to make for a radio that's supposed to be a specific fit for a vehicle and when the installation is complete it doesn't even sit flush as it should. Good video but thumbs down for the radio.
