Michael Be sure check the ring gap with new kit and besure clean everything with diesel and yes the head bolt usually do end up being that tight hard to get off if you following procedure in torque the cylinder head properly, and be sure deck the head with wet/dry sand paper 320 then 800 and I also notice you pull the cylinder some one didn't install the rings right orientation that what cause the problem to the cylinder liner and piston due lack oil so for love good install the rings right way
@MichaelSabo5 жыл бұрын
Thank you for all the tips man! I am using a service manual checking all of my torque specs and checking the ring gap 👊 I decked the head last night with 320 and then 600!

What I do with the Fuji 500 engine is either pay 50 for a good cylinder out of a parted out machine or if I have one it cost 50 to have it bored and honed usually the engines will run up to around 10k miles if you change the oil often and keep a good clean air filter and don’t beat on them the whole time

I recently did the same thing on a 400ex bought the kit for the cylinder and got a good piston for it. Awesome that it’s an easy fix bro.

Idk if it’s the same but our heat exchanger was leaking and the oil was getting real milky about 10 times flushing it and running it it got back milky the we bout a new exchanger and haven’t had a problem yet

Yup that's a flooded motor bud yikes I flooded my brute force and oil came out exactly like that

Going through the exact same issues, found the sensor on the back brakes lines on my buddies was not connecting right, wired it together and it turns over good now but now it doesn't always fire up... but for $400 we're pushing to find our issue 😆

Michael make sure the tolerance of the bore is matched to the Wiseco piston (is same as piston supplied for forged pistons) or you'll have a failure

Looks like a lot of coolant went through the crank bearings. Risky not to tear into that bottom end.

Be careful with that kit we got one for my brothers Yamaha Warrior and it only lasted About 30 hours and it started losing power we pulled it apart and found that there was a chunk taken out of the head right next to the valve seat and the piston in cylinder already had wear.
@mikelwmc5 жыл бұрын
Be careful with Wiseco and tolerance of that bore. Wiseco is a forged piston and requires a bit more clearance.
@JetSkiBuyFixPlaySellChannel5 жыл бұрын
You would think if you bought a piston for a standard bore Wiseco would take that into account. I have zero experience either way. I imagine he'll check the ring gap and compare it to the Wiseco instructions. He seems very thorough.

Michael, thank you for the video. I just got a Polaris ranger sportsman and it smokes like a chimney. What's your opinion on a dealership rebuild on the motor? I don't know who to turn to for a quality motor rebuild like you show in your video. Also any guess on the cost to have it done. From Galveston Texas. Thank you.

Torque wrench..... we don't need no stinking torque wrench.....tighten her down as tight as you can and another quarter turn.....lol Dude I thought those bolts were going to snap.....did polaris use torque to yield bolts on those??? if so those are for sure stretched....good job...

The gaskets that came with the kit I bought seem to be pretty decent. I have a pretty good review of the parts coming in the next video. I do agree though, I've seen some printer paper quality gaskets in cheap kits.
