Was gonna order from Michael a few month ago and found a strain i liked. felt kind of expensive . went on Ebay and found one for half the price, Bought it, and it died in my water. my tank was cycled and everything. Definitely wish i just shelled out the extra $10 and got a fish with good genetics. Long story short order from Michael. Love the content my bald brother! keep it up :)

I used to be one who couldn't keep guppies alive, except for those born in my tanks. Those were super hardy. I stopped having issues when I stopped buying from stores and started buying from other hobbyists. Now I rarely lose them. Because they're healthy. They almost always survive quarantine. I'll lose a good half of the ones from stores. The four I got from you are doing great!

@@MichaelsFishRoom sorry for the late response didn’t have my notifications on 🤦🏽♀️ okay so yes API test kit with the tubes. Then I retested like you said just now and i got 28 so I retested again since there’s quite a difference from 36 and got 28 again. Should I be looking into methods of bringing this down? I also would like to have cherry shrimp in the guppy tank but I’m afraid to get them now due to the GH. Also for the heck of it tested everything else not sure if it’s relevant (sorry I’m new) but ph 7.6 ammonia 0 nitrite 0 and nitrate 5. Also thank you for taking the time to even try to help me

@@MichaelsFishRoom so update: guppies died. One jumped out the tank found him thought he was dead then saw him swimming in the toilet so put him back in the tank then my snail ate him. The other guppy I just discovered dead floating not sure why he died. Could it be the hardness? Or also I just got confirmation I have some sort of worm or something. Before I got the guppy’s about a week ago I thought I saw a small white little worm looking thing swim up to the surface but then I looked down and up and he was gone. I didn’t notice another one until a couple hours ago one of my plants came up so I stuck it back in the gravel. Then just now same thing plant came up so I used my hands instead of tongs dug the gravel and put the plant in and then I saw it and this time I caught him with a turkey baster and put him in one of those test tubes for a further inspection until 1 minute later I noticed multiple probably 6 swimming and then they went onto the glass and then released from the glass and I don’t really know where they went. I got a video of it tho crawling on the glass it’s very small and skinny and almost so tiny you wouldn’t notice it. Seems as though they only come out when gravel is disturbed. Cleaning regimen is about 25- 50% water change every week except this tank is newly cycled and I don’t know how to gravel vac that well but I was mainly getting the top of the gravel but haven’t done any deep cleans because I thought the bacteria lived in the filter and on the gravel so I didn’t want to crash the cycle. Could the worms be why the fish keep dying? I’m just lost at how my tank took a turn for the worst so fast I’ve only had it like maybe 2 months and a couple weeks. Oh and the things I use in the tank are prime , stability, stress coat. Thanks for any help you can give
