@@sydb8921 The person that let him die. He called a promoter instead of the police at 11:30pm on Xmas Eve. The cops did not arrive until after 3:30am. So for 4 hours, no one administered Narcan, nor even tried CPR. I have several messages from, Mikey, talking about how he was concerned this guy may be unhinged. He was kicked out of a lgbtq shelter, for being in a fight, (when I met him at Michael's flat in Queens). M was letting him stay there...because he was just like that...

True but had they given him money, it would’ve all went to drugs. Maybe they did try to help him. We don’t know. Ernie Glam was his friend until the end. I’m surprised none of these people made statements regarding his death. As they were all extremely vocal about him during his life.

I was a fly on the wall in that transition of the clubs from the late 80s to the early 90s. I comment a lot because my ex was an early close friend of Alig’s, and also knew Nelson. I venture to be more bold here because; I was at Nelson’s house party briefly that was featured on the Nelson KZbin ( 5 9th ave) , I was at one of the (last) Fabulous Pop Tart’s club performances, and I attended most all Alig’s first club promo parties. We were all very young ( just out of college- but looked more like just out of high school) the frinemy vibe between Alig and James was a ubiquitous iced quality you found between most performance clubbers. There were some thick friends( lady Bunny, Larry T., and Lahoma stand out as close)but mostly it felt catty and shady. The level felt more equal- the Twins, Pop Tarts, Sister Face, Brandywine, Jsts.J and Michael all stood out equally for dress and antics. Michael got recognition for organizing and naming the thing, Kenny Kenny stood out for door work, Musto for being the press. Everything felt quick, casual, and a little like high school. So Rupaul hating Michael Alig was enough to throw things off in a big way.( The old guard: John Sex, Diane Brill.. seemed very above and remote and separate as the dissipated)

I can't believe James St.James said he didn't make any money off it,come on,I obviously didn't know them but I'm sure he made money one way or another from TV spots or his name being attached with the movie...They helped each other in different ways ,I am in no way saying what Michael did wasn't horrific. This was a great video doll.

he meant he did not get rich off of the book or movie. Most people do not know who Michael Alig is and the movie was poorly reviewed because it was not a great movie. James said twice a year he will get a check that will pay his utility bill and that is about it. Micheal always felt entitled and wanted everything handed to him. He refused to get a full time job because he thought it was beneath him and this created a great deal of jealousy when he saw all his friends grow up and become responsible members of society.

He was actually convicted of manslaughter, did 17 years in RIKER'S, served his debt to society. Freeze that actually hit Angel over the head, did less time. Daniel Oscar, did no time because his rich parents bought his way out of any repercussions. Why did he do 4 extra years? A little movie his friends made, that convinced the parole board somehow HE wanted this movie made. The unjust railroading because he was gay and the biggest party promoter of downtown (yes they USED him to stop a youth movement) is probably why he couldn't "get it through his head". Some humans believe in redemption.

Well, if you were there, you'd know that Michael resented James for being born with privilege, while Michael felt he suffered, so he wanted James to suffer. But, they were friends, so Michael was conflicted. He also didn't think james suffered addiction the same as he did. He was constantly punishing james for his ease.

Let's be real. The scene would've faded away into obscurity, alive ONLY in the minds of those who were there, were it not for Alig. They all know it, even though they act like they are better than he is now. In fact, they LOVE that they got to live to be "better" than him. If you were there to see it, you know how they were clamoring to be where it "mattered," and Alig was at the center.

Are u stupid they all grew up and made something of themselves and it had nothing to do with the fucking documentary or the movie dam that's the only reason his name is known is the movie and James and wow are the reason those were done they all made something of themselves way before the movie came out or anything to do with Michael in fact they are all famous do to their own hard work and he fucked up his own life by killing Angel so how dare u or that narcissistic killer think he made others rich or famous that's delusional and sick and people like u are a danger to this world because u worship a fucking killer !!

I totally dislike St. James and how he uses Michael aligs life as his and profits off it. It's very wrong. Align was at the forefront of the movement. St James screwed over alig in so many ways! Fenton and Randy also in a sense. They were always at the outlaw parties etc, forgetting where their true roots are! Michael started a following and created an amazing world. They still profit of it. Makes me angry!

Well, Alig did get the prison sentence, along with being troubled, and may be part of the reason nobody wanted much of anything to do with him. Also, WOW and associates made a good bit of money off the scandal, and sure they didn't want to share.... It's a big royal mess either which way you cut it Maybe St James was scared of him, along with others

I couldn't help but feel bad for Michael since his release. Yes yes I know he did an absolutely horrid thing. But he did serve his time and paid the price and in the end...he was a human being. I could tell he was desperate in his last years, to make some money and he just couldn't get anything afloat. I had the idea of him doing an NYC downtown tour where he could also sell his merch. The idea was that he himself, could give paid walking tours to NYC tourists and show all the hot spots from those glory daze....telling stories and what not. Michael loved this idea and I just felt so helpless, because he reached out to me several different times over a two year period, wanting me to help him organize it and find backers to help him out. I'm literally just a 40 something mom now, in Kentucky and I just don't have NYC contacts anymore. I tried very hard to help him and made several phone calls to different travel and tourist agencies in NYC but I never could get anyone to commit. I definitely think the stigma surrounding his crime and his reputation is what hurt him. Every time he reached out to me....I could tell he must have really been broke and going through it. Was very sad to hear of his OD and I'm sad that I never could help him. At least he now has peace.

You pay the price when your physical body dies and your true judgement is revealed in real true eternity. All of them will pay a price. Angel served/sold drugs to children and took advantage of the evil hedonistic lifestyle of the blind masses/kids who participated in that lifestyle. They are all paying a price. I don’t think you should feel bad, unless you did something wrong?! However you should always have sympathy and compassion and mercy towards those who are suffering. These “club kids” got what they deserved. And yes “wow” and it’s affiliates did profit off the death/movie. The entertainment industry is involved in esoteric evil, sacrifice is required to move the energies in your favor as the “lucifer” is the god of this material world of excess. The Hollywood beast system paradigm has programmed many generations of children. You are obviously one of them. In the end Michael got what he wanted throughout his existence and he manifested it through his actions. Michael got Money Success Fame Glamour He shouldn’t complain or be bitter. Michael murdered Angel and he thought he got away with it in this life.
