Hi @theGourmetPlate, I'm one of the chefs who cooked the dishes you had at Pipero. I'm so very glad you enjoyed this experience, which is the result of many hours of hard work.

Don’t know about IRL but from the video the restaurant really seems to lacks ambiance. Was that your experience too?

Hello Freya 👋 thanks for stopping by & hope you’ve enjoyed this vlog ☺️ As for the ambience I guess it depends on the type of ambience one is looking for. It definitely doesn’t have the traditional, majestic fine dining ambience (but it could also be due to us visiting for lunch instead of dinner so the absence of dim yellow lighting does dampen that fine dining feel a whole lot 😆). Perhaps a better way we could illustrate whether the ambience suits Pipero would be by way of comparison. For us Pipero provides a similar ambience compared to their contemporaries in Rome such as Glass Hostaria as well as All’Oro. We felt the dishes Pipero serve do work well with their setup & restaurant ambience☺️ Hope our attempt at explaining how we felt didn’t make it more confusing hahaha 🤣 P.S: It could also be due to our filming skill (or rather, lack thereof) which caused the absence of a good ambience for the audience 🥹

How long were you in Italy? It looks like you’ve been there for months. Did you do anything else while you were there other than going to restaurants? How many Michelin stars can a restaurant possibly have? Is 1 star better than 2 stars or 3 stars?

Hi Thomas, glad to see you again! 👋 We were in Italy for about 3 weeks but because our vlogs take time to edit so we’re still running Italy vlogs (it’s ending real soon though so don’t worry hahaha 😉). During the 3 weeks we mainly did filming & learning bout Roman as well as some Sicilian cuisine. As for Michelin, the most star a restaurant can have is 3 so the more stars the better 😉

Hello, hope you guys are fine! Anymore Rome videos coming? Making my way there in a couple of weeks and relying on your fine Malaysian palate for recommendations 🙂

Hello Denise 👋, our Rome episodes are generally done aside from a Food Thought episode which we’ll release after we’re back from our current food hunt 😂 Aside from our vlogs there’s a spot called Seu Pizza Illuminati which has some pretty good Pizza😉. Hope our vlogs would be of use to you in your food hunt! 😝 Do stay safe cause there are lots of pick pockets & scams during our 3 week stay there 😅, we got our camera gear stolen, will go into it in our Food Thought episode. Hope you’ll be able to catch it before your trip but generally stay safe & have a great time! 😊
