I haven't heard a voice that ever sounded like Cass since she left this earth. I also never heard any covers of the M&P songs, ever sound like the blend of unique voices the M&P had. I wish I had at least one chance to get a hug from the beautiful Michelle.

How dare Phillips speak about Cass Elliot at all. How dare she. They bullied her and taunted her mercilessly. I'm also upset that they included 'Mama' on her star. Cass always deserved better, and these vampires wouldn't leave her be even after her death. I'm not watching this, though I'm grateful to this poster, because of the choice of speaker. Shame.

Thank you for your thoughtful response. I hope that maybe you can read this and reconsider your stance on the situation… yes it is true that there were times Cass was treated poorly, but they all had a very complex dynamic with each other and although they all treated each other poorly at times, they also all had a deep love for each other. I wouldn’t say they taunted her mercilessly. Michelle betrayed her once with the whole Denny situation but Cass forgave Michelle and they had a very close relationship. Also, her daughter Owen is the one who made the decision to have Mama on the star. She felt that if Cass had lived longer, she would’ve successfully gotten rid of the Mama moniker, but since she didn’t have that chance, Owen put what she is known as to most people.
