Unpopular take but if Jim moves on we MUST offer Jesse the HC job. Thats the man you HAVE to keep.

He wouldn't have stayed even if you did. It has been long reported that this would be his last season in college, and can you blame him? He interviewed for DC jobs in the NFL LAST offseason.

As an Ohio State fan I want to say CONGRATULTIONS Wolverine nation! I have said it before , Its a great thing to have Michigan back as a true rival again. Having said that , you see what the Buckeyes are building in the offseason???? Be afraid Wolverine nation the Buckeyes are coming, and its not gonna be pretty when they are finished with you next year. But back to back National champs from Michigan then Ohio State will be TREMENDOUS for the conference and start to drive a stake in the heart of the SEC. Much Respect Wolverine nation. Go Bucks!

Vance thank you. I truly think you helped the defensive staff this season. Someone was paying attention and it may have brought up some talking points in the meetings to setup the game plan. Hope it continues.

Appreciate you guys and look forward to the bonus videos you described Sam! Reading “Mountaintop” and Vance receives numerous mentions as he’s still the same… Awesome! Thank you both!!!

Been out of the country for ~3 months (charity work on the other side of the world). Great to catch up on the stuff I missed. Sam you are the best but your cohorts are INCREDIBLE (Coach Vance, Coach Al and DG - you too Ira). Of course I watched the M wins and left after we had won. GO BLUE! Lots of changes while I was away. Wonder what the team will be like this year?

Vince Lombardi used to say "the team that blocks the best and tackles the best is going to win the game" it's one of the old school rules that hasn't and will never change.

Coach Vance said Washington seemed surprised at the way we played them defensively. Listening to the coaching and player interviews for Washington, I have to say I was immediately struck with how shocked UW players and staff seemed to be at the outcome. It clearly looked like they had no idea how in the hell they just got whooped for 4 quarters and had not considered the possibility of losing that game. Confidence is paramount when it comes to performing but UWs reactions made it seem almost borderline arrogant with the way they approached UM. I don't believe they gave UM's scheme the credit it deserves. Listening to Nick Saban talk, you clearly understand that was not the case with Alabama's approach.

Vance, Penix caught us when he was at Indiana during the 2020 season. They threw that ball all over the defense but WAY different team, different defense and offense from then to now.

Iv been saying minter can't be allowed to leave. They are going to need to make him the head coach because that guy is a super star and we need that dude on the side of the good guys. The only thing that would worry me is if the NFL calls him it will be just like Jim. That would be my fear and why I thought Moore was the guy but man I hate to lose Minter
@SmashTheNumbers
@SmashTheNumbers 11 ай бұрын
Being a head coach is a totally different skillset than being a D-Coordinator. He will not have time to "scheme" because he will have to recruit, deal with the administration, make sure he is in compliance, handle egos on the staff, deal with the transfer portal, deal with donors, etc. I hope Minter gets a contract that will make him the highest paid coordinator in College Football. That is about all you can do to keep him. Maybe the money saved from not paying Harbaugh's contract can be given to Minter so he has almost the same salary as Moore.

@@SmashTheNumbers I don't disagree with anything you say. Your correct actually. Taking on the head gig would actually pull his focus away from what made him great calling the defense so yeah I was also thinking the same about that extra money they were going to give Jim . Some guys just want to be in the NFL though so if Minter gets anything close to what Michigan is willing to pay and he leaves well than he just wants to be an NFL coach. I hope some of that cash goes to Elston and clink and Herbert definitely!! 3 guys that are extremely important. Hart and Campbell as well. That's why I don't get all wrapped up in the Harbaugh leaving will set us back to being average. I don't believe the culture was just Harbaugh. These guys got hired in and that's when it all shifted in one season. Ok so you lose Jim but if you can get these guys paid every penny they are truly worth than hopefully they will want to stick around. If they keep winning than keep bumping up there pay lol. Losing the staff scares me more than losing Jim ever did. That's just me personally. I'm actually kind of relieved we don't have to deal with the hostage situation every off season. Iv never seen a championship team not be able to recruit the in top 5 classes

Penix was definitely not having flashbacks of the Michigan team he played when he was at Indiana because that Michigan team was trash lol. I think coach Bedford may be mistaken by when that game got played. He probably thinks it was within the last 2 years
