Probably one of the most educational casing channels out there - glad to have you back! This was not that far from my neck of the woods in Northwest Indiana.

I am so happy I came across your channel! My daughter has been absolutely faclscinated by storms weather and natural disaster and love the power of mother nature. At the age of eight, her dream is to be a storm chaser, meteorologist. And your channel is prefect! She can watch it real time and learn so much at the same time. A lot of the other videos out there don't go as in depth as yours with explaining all the aspects like you do. Thank you so much! Stay safe!

I'm from Kalamazoo... And we are okay!!! It's mostly Portage, and Centerville that got hit.

I live in NW Indiana and the cell that created the Portage, MI tornado actually developed over Portage, IN just a few minutes from where I live. Kind of crazy when you think about it. I'm glad that no one was killed but I do feel for those that lost their homes. It was a crazy tornado producing type of day. Great video!!!!

This is truly fascinating to watch! My hometown, Mendon, had a tornado touch down nearby. I remember I was bolting back and forth from our front and back door, keeping an eye on the clouds. After seeing the videos of the tornado touching down, I had chills in my spine. If you haven't seen those videos I highly recommend it, I believe we had a bit of "Dead Man Walking" before it merged into one. It may not have been that, but there were multiple vortices as it started. Thank you for your videos, these are amazing to watch!

Long time, no see! That's actually a pretty awesome view of an ugly, rainy tornado despite the endless trees. Well done!

I live in portage and work across the street from the fedex building that was destroyed so I experienced this first hand, but its pretty cool to actually understand the terminology and data behind it all

Incredible intuition at work to place yourself right in-range to film the cloaked tornado but still at a safe distance.

A little bit of intuition, a little bit of luck, and a lotta bit of ‘ready to get the heck out of there if it comes out of the trees anywhere to the left of where I thought it was’. Thanks for the comment, I’m glad you liked it!

Glad to find your channel, I love learning about how to read the radars and understand what kind of weather to expect. Wisconsin had a crazy storm on 5/21-5/22 and I saw the radar go in a huge swirling movement over Lake Superior and wrap around in itself, can you explain what went down with that storm? I was driving on the coast of lake michigan and got to see a huge curved front

Glad to have ya here! It's hard to say without seeing what you were seeing, but generally a large-scale cyclonic precipitation swirl on radar marks the presence of the low pressure center. As for what you saw over Lake Michigan, linear precipitation modes can cause cool looking shelf clouds, but without seeing what you saw, there's no way to be certain.

Subscribed and really hope to see more content. The other chasers who act like giddy teenagers are really started to get on my nerves.

I was born and raised in Michigan and lived in Saginaw for 24 years from 1988 to 2014 moved to battle creek mi and worked at kelloggs for almost a year then moved to clarksville Tennessee for 6 years and now live in Russellville Kentucky and can't remember any tornado watches or warnings but it's definitely a different beast down here but getting into meteorology watching convective chronicles and I didn't even know about the different tornado warnings until recent when I seen that tornado emergency warning for Michigan I started getting emotional and messaged all my friends in that area I always thought warnings like that were really only in tornado ally

That tornado missed me by two miles, and had I been outside, I never would have seen it because of the trees.
