“You’re never going to be competitive with….” (Talking about the should go for Mac/ACC but still can’t beat big teams) Rico, if we grab a couple of senior OL from the MAC/ACC or whatever and they are really good - it is absolutely possible to compete! A lot of NFL players come from the MAC. Grab a couple big dudes that are good and experienced and they can get BETTER. Your coworker TJ played for Eastern and he was a pretty good OL men.

Nick Marsh has about a 93% chance of transferring.

That low? I'd think it was more like 97-98%

The expansion of the NIL has killed college football. The portal is a joke. Most kids think they are 5 star but in reality they are 3 and it kills a program when they don't produce

Yea, it's terrible these kids are being paid for their labor!

Johnathon Smith looks lost! Smith never elaborates on what is going on with the program. Same problems as last year. The offensive line looks terrible and the secondary looks awful as well. Same as last year! The recruiting class coming does not look great either. Bad signs ahead for the Spartans

MSU looks soft. I remember the spartans were always a tough as nails programs even if they werent that good. But recently they are soft as charmin.

Lost 6 of the last 7, consistently blown out, choked multiple wins away this year, one win against PRAIRIE VIEW A&M. 6-6 would be a major salvage. Confidence is very low at the moment.

Yeah, we haven't had a good football team in a long time.

At least Smith can fall back on his amazing recruiting and MSU's awesome NIL collectives! 😏

I hated the Smith hire. And now it's happening exactly how I thought it would pan out. Dude is still recruiting California. It reminds me of John L Smith who was still recruiting Kentucky in his 4th year. And Drew Stanton saying JLS needed a map to find Flint. Smith didn't recruit that great at Oregon State. How is he supposed to recruit the Midwest any better? #60 in nation for 2025 recruit class? I can see the excuses next year for losing "he just doesn't have any talent". And I thought he was an X-O genius. I'm not seeing it. I'm not seeing any ingenuity. He's trying to play Harbaugh football with a 3rd-rate OL. And Minnesota doesn't seem to be missing Rossi either. What is that guy doing? I would have preferred a decent MAC coach to come in over Jon SMith. At least they know the Midwest and could recruit here. The first recruits to decommit will be those guys in California and 100s of miles from EL. Because you can't be close enough to constantly be in their ear.

I wanted him to get the benefit of the doubt but damn this shit is mediocre...Was that a win against Purdue? I guess...I didn't enjoy it.... There's no enjoyment watching MSU Football.....2010-2015 seems like the golden era...That was Spartan Football.. It was like Beatlemania...

Johnathan Smith will be fine. It's year one. MSU gets Purdue this week in EL. Purdue might he the worst team in FBS. Then they get Rutgers in EL. Sparty finishes 6-6 which is a 2 game improvement along with a bowl game. Baby steps Rico.
