High arches, walking on the outsides of my feet, obese, in my 50's, take your pick! Just had surgery 6 days ago after a year of non-surgical interventions. I'm ready to be done with this!

Super high arches. Not heels. Had it when I was growing too so I never wore shoes.

I only have it on my right foot. I've been wearing flats for about 5 years now for work. I think the bump was caused by my scoliosis. My left leg is shorter and I have very high arches. My right foot twists everytime I walk. I wake up with the back of my right ankle very stiff (causing limping) and it gets worse throughout the day. Thank you for the info! I will try everything!

It really really works. Bye bye to my symptomatic haglund pain just by wearing orthosis and stretching against the wall 2-3 times a day. The bump is still there though, but it does not bother me anymore

I have had this bump my whole life without pain. It now seems like Achilles Insertion. The podiatrist I saw said heel spurs are just Achilles injury scars. He gave me the higher up Achilles tendonitis exercises and now my pain is huge. I have super high arches. I have problems finding any shoes to fit now.

My bump came back because I haven't been working out. I'm starting to limp so bad from it and I wear backless sandals. I just used a rolling pin from the kitchen on my legs and pain is already relieved and I'm not limping! Wow!

another thing you can try, get mold skin, and make a protective space in the back of the shoe.....plus add extra large bandaids.... addition try K tape...or all three
@petersimpson85634 жыл бұрын
I was under the impression you need time for the Achilles’ heel to repair you should not stretch it and should be practicing on repairing it with strengthening stretching is not recommended. Otherwise you end up running around in a vicious circle of repeating the injury.

Finally a good explanation for this bump on the inside of my heel! This foot is definitely one that I pronate with. I’ve had the bump for a couple of years but it never bothered me until recently. Now if I stretch my hamstrings I feel a burning pain the heel. That’s new. I will get new shoes and try some inserts.

I suffer for more than 2 years from Pump Bump on both legs,and in the last half year it's almost impossible for me to run if I don't take Ibuprofen for breakfast. I tried almost all the solution you said in the video and It didn't help me for the long term. Does surgery is the solution for my case? Thanks, Noam

@@jojoantony9739 I ended up going to a podiatrist, which uncovered a range of contributing issues. I have scoliosis, and bursitis in both ankles which was likely causing the pain when skating. Basically he said the heel bumps were likely caused by years of wearing the wrong shoes, the skates just made me notice them. He made me some custom orthotics, with heel lift on one side (one leg is a bit longer due to the scoliosis) which I have to wear 5-6 hours a day, recommended wear shoes with a 1-2cm heel, and gave me some stretches and exercises to do (i.e calf stretches and heel lifts). Its been about three months since I got the orthotics, the pain and swelling in my heels has not completely gone yet, but has been progressively improving since the orthotics and excercises, and is now bearable. I also used to get knee pain, which has gone since using the orthotics. In my experience it was worth seeing a doctor.

I noticed achilles tendon insertion pain after a inclined sprint. I used to do long jump track and field training for 2 years, stopped for half a year and when I restarted at that one sprint I felt the achilles pain. Since then I had problems with tendon for 12 years when walking or training. Doctors were to dumb to diagnose what I had and only prescribed painkillers and rest which never solved my problem. Until one day I found for myself that I have this small bump on my left heel. Your video explains in perfectly but until you know you have Haglund deformity you only find tendinitis and fascia treatments on the internet which don’t help with this. The best for this, that I found by myself, and surprisingly just now I see and as you said is: support of the foot so it doesn’t flat out, don’t wear rigid shoes to reduce friction on back of foot, the rolling of the muscles exactly as you show in the video before each training session and the thing that helped the most for me is overall stretching routines everyday after run ESPECIALLY front splits and wall push calf stretch for the front of the foot tendon. Stretch hard a bit more each day and you will reduce the everyday pain of running. My question to you is: Can you reduce the bone bump with ultrasounds treatments or other than surgery ? Thanks!

I don't think you want to lift your heel in your shoe more. Unlike what you said, since the shoe counter tapers forward, your heel would be pressing more into your shoe for greater contact pressure.

Hello doctor, I have been dealing with this disease for about 2 years, physical therapy, movement at home, medications, creams, whatever I used did not work. I even have a hard time keeping my foot flat. I had the last bone breakage treatment, the protrusion went a little, but the inflammation in my heel spread to my foot. I can only walk in high-heeled shoes. They say surgery is not the definitive solution either. I hope you can help me

can these also be caused by hidden fractures or anything? I went over on my ankle about 3 years ago carrying the buggy to the car, and I crushed it woth the buggy as I folded over falling down the curb and it made a really loud crunching sound. I couldn't even have the weight of the duvet on it but they couldn't find a facture. so I was thinking mine might have be a result from that happening as its the same ankle and none of my shoes rub, I only ice skate a few times a year, but I am on my feel all day in a salon. my tendon is tight every morning to start with but I have no pain at all. My bump is onky the size of a pea and solid as bone. I still regularly go over on that same ankle now when going down stairs and just simply walking on flat ground and it will just buckle over. other than that the only other thing I can think of is my boots as I've worn the same pair every day for just over a year, but they don't rub or hurt.
