As a Michigan Alumnus who loves my alma mater and knows something about this team I believe we’ll beat Texas and will beat Washington at Washington. We’ll also beat Ohio State at least once this year and will make it to the college football playoffs for sure! If we don’t win the natty at the end of the season we’ll be ranked in the top 5! Not ME. You don’t get 3 shots at OSU without getting to the B1G (beat OR! And likely TX) - and DEEP (2-3 wins then semi or final loss??) into playoff. I’ll be a bit disappointed about OSU but a TOAST worthy 13-3 maybe 14-3 season with new coach losing in the finals. With 4-5 statement wins GREAT YEAR. Won’t complain about finals loss finishing #2 because not fond of #1. That’s for MSU/OSU fans.

Michigan had a great 3 year run. I think we see a slide back for a year or two into reality. Just too much change, especially at QB and O line. The loss of Corum will be huge. Even though the defense will be outstanding, I do not see think the offense is getting it done. We will learn a lot week two when Texas comes to town. If Michigan loses that game, I see 3, possibly 4 losses this year, especially in Columbus.

I don't think Michigan is going to just collapse like that. I trust that program now. Those guys will beat there heads in trying to figure out what it takes to win. Not to mention who's returning. I see Tuttle taking the lead with more experience/Orji doing his part. I see Michigan beating Texas as a statement game. Keep in mind the Harboa defense is still there and adding some new strategies. We will have a better offense than last year to contest with the Pac12 offensive styles. If we play Ohio State 3 times, there is no way we lose all 3! Not with that BEAT OHIO State training. I say if we lose in Columbus, we're winning the next 2! If we win in Columbus, we may (maybe!) lose the Big 10 game. If we make it to the Rose Bowl, we have experience, so I don't see us losing that. I feel like we'll be good enough to win out and maybe have 1 loss, but it'll be Texas or Oregon....not Ohio State

So, this season will not be as good and fun as last year. That is okay. For the umpteenth time, it is NOT even close to being the greatest run in UM history. The greatest coach of all time, the immortal Yost, led UM to 4 straight undefeated National Championships, 4 conference titles,and a 56 consecutive game unbeaten streak during 4 straight years: 1901,02, 03, and 04. That dynasty extended to an 11-1 record in 1905. During the 1930s, the legendary Kipke led UM to 2 NCs and just 1 loss over 3 seasons . In 1947, under the legendary Crisler ,UM won the NC, the Big Ten championship, and the Holy Grail Rose Bowl on January 1st,1948. That was followed by the 1948 NC team under the great Coach Oosterbaan. The latest dynasty would rank at best , 3rd, just ahead of Bo's Denny Franklin at QB years when #9 led UM to just we losses over 3 seasons ,a couple Big Ten titles ,and 1 undefeated season in 1973. UM's current Harbaugh led Rennaisance is 40-3 , with 3 Big Ten titles, 2 major bowl victories, 3 straight playoffs, 3 straight wins -each -over Superpowers The Ohio State University Buckeyes and PSU, and a National Championship.
