@@Daniel-vs7qm I also thought it's hard to believe at first but damn, it started insanely hard, either he has incorrect oil and too small battery and it's at least -30 or it's legitimately -50*C. The only Honda engine I've seen start that hard was a 5 cylinder Acura Vigor at -45*C. I think there's a good chance for it to be legit, that's why I included it. Opinions from viewers are very welcome as always :D

A trick for starting a diesel in really cold weather is to get an old rag, and loosely put into up the tailpipe. When you start the engine, some of the heat from the exhaust won't be able to travel past the rag, and the engine in many cases will start. The rag will be blown out of the exhaust, or you can pull it out. Sounds stupid but it works.
@MrAloysioguimaraes2 ай бұрын
Man, no easy job! Very challenging start. At this temperature, does your car reach the optimal heat of working? O mean, does it reach 90 Celsius?
@WymiataczPlays2 ай бұрын
Most modern cars should, especially during city driving. Different story if you drive at relatively high speed and very low engine load, outside the city, especially with extra wind. Many engines may have problems keeping operating temp in such conditions.
@MrAloysioguimaraes2 ай бұрын
@WymiataczPlays . Very interesting comments. I don't know how long your winter last. However, is it a situation that scares car owners in your region or even though it is not the ideal situation, vehicles keep working bravely. I wonder know how bad it's keep working under the optimal temperature. In your case it is due to extreme weather. Man, I have no idea how it'd be to live under this several weather. You must be very resilient.
@jaguilar30012 күн бұрын
After 1st successful cold start in -40° weather, prevent further start difficulty by following this procedure: 1) Make sure gas tank is full. WARNING: Keep car running through step 5. 2) Turn south when leaving driveway and drive at maximum allowed speed through step 5. where possible. 3) Stop at nearest gas station; buy extra gas tanks and fill them w/gas. 4) Turn south. 5) Continue south and fill tank with extra gas as needed. When you reach 30 degrees (latitude, not temperature), stop car. 6) Get out of car, go into immigration office. Surrender old passport after renouncing citizenship of previous frozen hell. Apply for new passport and citizenship of nice warm new country. CAR IS HAPPY TO START FROM NOW ON!
