I had a meet and greet with Mick Fleetwood before a concert and someone asked him what musician he would like to play with if he had to pick one and it was Peter Green. I followed up one that answer and asked him how Peter was doing, and he sighed and just said he had let go of Peter a long time ago. That was about 6 years ago. After that I wrote an email to Mick's manager and stated to Mick that Peter wasn't just a lunatic because that's how he described him his first book as just going mad from an overdose of LSD. I wrote that Peter suffered an injury to his brain and he should not think of Peter as being "mad". Well Mick did change his view and I'm really glad to hear Mick has excepted Peter for what he is now. I think Mick had some deep reflection about Peter and the tribute to him is the fruit of that reflection.

"Excepted Peter for what he is now". You mean accepted. Accept means to believe in or receive, while except means unless or exclude

@@nataliedavidson3515 True. I can no longer take Mick seriously after what he did to Lindsey. And the fact that he and Stevie lied about it to their fans, only makes it worse.

Buckingham and Nicks brought the group back up to standard. Yeah, it's not what they once were, but the period between Green leaving and Buckingham/Nicks joining was pretty stale, IMO. Peter Green, Danny Kirwan, Jeremy Spencer, John McVie, and Mick Fleetwood will always be the real Fleetwood Mac in my book, though. But they really reinvented themselves in a big way that can't be denied.
