@@SierraRail3Prod I’m sorry to bring the bad news, but Jinty did not in fact make it to preservation. Sodor Island Models did some research, and has concluded that No.47287 is the real life Jinty. He was withdrawn in 26th Oct 1963 and scrapped in April 1964

Good remake mate, but what does barrow in furness have anything to do with thomas? Why is it a well known station in thomas fandom as well as killdane? They both havent been shown in the thomas television series, barrow in furness is a city or station in the UK, isnt that right?

Barrow In Furness is a real town in England alright. And so is the station itself. :)

In 1925, an agreement was reached between the LMS and the North Western Railway. The North Western allowed the LMS to run services to Norramby, and in turn the LMS granted the North Western running powers to the mainland providing a route to London, St Pancras. This resulted in a bridge being built over the Walney Channel and the North Western moving its headquarters from Vicarstown to Tidmouth. The Wild ‘Nor Wester express Gordon pulls only goes from Tidmouth to Barrow-in-Furness, and it is there that he is taken off to rest for his return journey while the coaches are taken onward by another engine. This operation was later replaced in 2011 by HST diesel duo Pip and Emma to streamline the service Two reasons spring to mind on why Killdane is so famous. The first being the location of NWR No.3’s iconic ‘Kipper Crash’ in the winter of 1935, which has been confirmed by the Island of Sodor, it’s People, History and Railways book to have occurred at Killdane. The second reason is due to the mysterious circle of standing stones, origin of which are unknown, but likely burial sites from the Neolithic period, though this is just a purely popular speculation with no historical basis In regards to Barrow-in-Furness never being mentioned in the TV series, it all started with Britt Allcroft’s strange decision of not wanting to name drop real life places in the show despite the TV series universe being supposedly set in the real world as per the original Railway Series. With the exception of Crewe, places such as England in The Fat Controller’s Engines were changed to “the Big City far away” in the Thomas and the Special Letter adaptation, as well as just not naming Barrow-in-Furness at all
