He's got to be my favourite stand-up comic here in the UK at the moment. Not only funny but a truly likeable man - his interaction and rapport with his audiences is fantastic. I think because he genuinely comes from a working class background and talks about the life we know. And yes - I also grew up in the 80s in those pentecostal and southern baptist churches. I know. Mickey Flannigan is a fellow London Legend! PROPER old school, cheeky fella.. VERY FUNNY! He's also "married to a posh bird" (according to him!) Which is hilarious.. I've been there as a working class lad with a posh bird a number of times and it's funny as FCUK!! Well UNTIL they get bored or realise you're not going to start being some numpty then they get bored.. lol But he's brilliant! Very funny! You should review old Hale and Pace Sketches! Very funny! Loads out there and all different and they used to have a TV show that was made up of totally different sketches by them all contrasting characters that popped up every week it was brilliant!! When I was 15, I remember the teacher who taught me guitar (my parents bought me the lessons for Christmas when I was 13, no doubt desperately hoping I was the next Eric Clapton and therefore their pension - I was neither) one time told me: "you really need to practise your fingering".
