I really enjoy your videos, you don't try to be a "personality", someone other than who you are. You get excited when you catch a fish, but not overly so. Many youtube fishermen scream like a little girl every time they hook up. You don't say "dude" or "awesome" every third word. You work hard for your fish but don't make a big deal out of it. You practice good sportsmanship, keep what you need to feed your family and leave some fish to catch another day.

Another great vid mate , nothing wrong with showing the kill , you are hunting and harvesting your food from the wild and no different from someone hunting deer for venison on the land . As a hunter and an angler we can choose weather to take the quarry or release it , keeping it results in the death of the fish or animal but at the same time it sustains life by feeding us and our family. Most people these days enjoy the food that others provide for them but get upset when they see something die , someone else has done the killing for them and this is where the hypocrisy lies . To many urbanites have become disconnected from the reality of how the food chain works , I enjoy your videos for the fact that you keep them real . Keep up the good work brother and tight lines .✊

Great video Rod! I always love your stuff man. I understand that some get a little squeamish when it comes to the killing aspect, but it's the circle of life my friend. I love being in the outdoors and specifically taking fish to eat because it reminds us that in order for us to live, something else has to die. It helps us to stay grounded in there modern times. Looking forward to future videos my friend, and I hope your channel continues to grow!

Just getting into your channel...seen you in the suggestions for a while but just ignored it because I'm not really into kayak fishing but I'm really glad I finally checked you out. I like how you are a real hunter always trying to bring home dinner. Catch and release is good if you don't get a good size or not what you're after but purely catch and release for sport without the justification of food gathering just gives me a bad feeling of fish being harmed for the thrill of it. Glad you got back alright with dinner for the family.

Hello RoKKiT KiT. Great videos. I'm a fan from across the pond (US) and I especially enjoy when you make the overnight camping videos on deserted islands using your Powerfisha. I am looking into getting a Powerfisha 16 and was curious about the rod holders you use in these videos, especially the ones that you use to hold your rods in the horizontal position along the length of the boat. Could you tell me the make and model of these rod holders? Thanks.

This skiff is a Stealth Powerfisha, the Solo looks ok but it’s too heavy for car topping on roof racks. This one is around 44kg so much lighter. I also like no seat on the deck as I like to stand 👍

Hey Rod, how come you don’t bleed the fish straight away? Usually with the pelagics we get on the south coast of NSW, we bleed them straight up & it makes them taste much better. Also you should have had a drop with the occy for a snapper or a jewie. They love ‘em, specially the bigger fish!
@rokkitkit5 жыл бұрын
They bleed out a bit when gaffed and killed but I find that Mackerel eating quality is not effected by not bleeding. Always bleed my tuna though👍

In the other hand I think seriosly in the 16 because I want to take my son with me for fishing in the sea! I want to use a 6 hp engine due the weight only 25 kg! Does it have enought power for a 16 with 2 people one it?? Sorry so many questions! The 14 to stand up and do a jigging is it stable enought? I live in Portugal and the skiffs here are zero!
