I use single hooks on all my lures, I just find it causes less injury to the fish and less potential for me to get hooked in the finger at the same time. its a win, win.
@overtheedge92985 жыл бұрын
Mitchell Franker The same for me. Multiple treble hooks on a lure are a pain in the ass, and the chances of a fish still living on a single hook are much better.

As a general rule, lures that will catch catfish work amazingly well for other species. Catfish do hunt live prey, esp when there's a high predator-prey ratio.

No rattle could be an advantage these days because pretty much every lure has a rattle and so many fish can associate something bad with that rattle and also the big fish (that weren't caught and eaten) are obviously the ones, that naturally don't react/ are interested to/ in rattles...
@rhutchski2 жыл бұрын
I've always loved using small lures, small flies and little crankbaits. It's amazing what you can catch. Till next time.
@bobsmith98754 жыл бұрын
Yo can make your lure rattle by drilling a small hole in a inconspicuous spot place a a bb or small bead depending on strength of desired rattle and seal with epoxy.

I bought a load of these from china for a few pennies each, went out fishing just to see if they worked, and caught around 12 pike and countless perch in a couple of hours. Theyre absolutely deadly. Almost every cast was followed in by a shoal of fish, fighting one another to take the lure. It was crazy, and Ive never seen anything like it. My only gripe is that being so small, the pike inhale it and it can be hard to unhook them. I did the opposite from you though, and swapped from a treble to a single to make it easier and get the fish back in the water faster. Theyre great fun.

What is that lure? I want one. I use that same rod with a Shimano Stradic 1000. I love fishing with micro lures. My friends keep telling me they are too small, then I show them fish I catch with them. I have pulled a few 2 1/2 lb bass in through lily pads with it. It takes some patience, just have to finesse them on top before pulling them in.

I am not sure why people think smaller lures won't catch big fish, but I am from MN so ice fishing is quite a different experience with what you use than open water. One of my biggest fish was a 48 in northern on a small almost tiny spoon I use for walleyes. Now that I think of it all my pb northerns have been on smaller spoons and cranks. In my area we get to go sturgeon fishing and can catch 70 in plus monsters and we just catch them on a signal hook and a worm or night crawler. Don't get me wrong theres nothing wrong with using big baits especially when you know there's bigger fish in the waters then it can be easier to sort through them to get to the bigger fish. Some of my biggest baits I use I have caught some of the smallest fish on them i have rapalas that have caught northerns on and they are longer than the fish lmfao. That's just the fun part about fishing no matter what baits you use and the best technology you still don't know what size or what species you'll hook into. That makes its part of the excitement! Keep up the great content I definitely would rather watch this than the shit on WFN now days.
