You may have covered this during your every day challenges, but I am curious if you routinely compose with the LCD monitor or you are doing so for us viewers? I prefer to use the viewfinder, and that is one of the reasons I would like to see a version two of the GX8. I love the tilting viewfinder. I also loved many of your compositions!

I still prefer to use the LCD simply because I feel I can be more agile when using the LCD. I am able to raise or lower the camera and still compose with the LCD without having to have my whole body adjusting for my movement like when I am using the viewfinder.

I am using the GX8 for years now and had never problems with the mechanical shutter. What is the reason using the electronic shutter instead of the mechanical one? Do you think the mechanical shutter of the GX85 is better? Thank you for your interesting presentation of your way of taking pictures.

The electronic shutter doesn't require the actual shutter unit to open and close, and that means no vibration which is very important to reduce shock and blur caused by the vibration of the shutter unit. The GX85 does have a much better shutter unit, there's no visible blur at any shutter speed.

Which is better? Omd em1 or the gx8?

I still prefer the GX8 for the form factor, but both are great camera!

Hi, Great content, l notice the yellow histogram what dose that mean.📸👍
@Gary_W Жыл бұрын
The histogram represents the amount of light from the very darkest part of the frame all the way to the very brightest part of the frame. I sometimes use it especially if I am shooting landscape photography, to check if the frame is too bright or too dark when I can't really see the LCD or viewfinder clearly.

Yes l know but why sometimes yellow in colour?

@@robertverbeek9751 I believe it means that the image is clipping. When I noticed it in the video, the sliver of sky was blown out to protect the important part of the image.
