Micro Jigging Creature Baits Canal Style

Hitting the local canal in search of perch using some tiny creature baits! A real simple method micro size 10 jig head and a few cm craws for canal redfins and a couple of pike thrown in for good measure!

just started lure fishing had nothing on my fist outing but had a nice 1 pound 12 ounce perch on the grand union canal on my second outing well pleased love the content mate good job

Only ever got little shoalies of perch on lures but had a nice 4 lb one out of a canal in Norfolk on a 5m whip as a teen was a belta memory :D never seen a perch like it since

1:58 -- Ive had a pike much less than half that size 😂 A cute little permanent marker sized pike. I think i caught it on a 5 or 6cm spikey shad.

Smallest pike I ever caught was on maggot and it was a long as your index finger. It was absolutely pristine and perfect, best looking pike ever caught.

Do you ever catch ruffe? I caught one once micro jigging for perch and thought I'd caught a gold coloured perch. Was a stunning fish and I've not seen one since. That was on the Kennet and Avon canal.

You are mistaken, it is the course season that is closed, not the rivers. Meaning you can fish for game species such as trout. And salmon if you have the appropriate license. But tackle you can use will vary from region to region. Check your local byelaws.

Love Little pike i want to make a predator take for home with pike and perch. I caught one about 3” long on a word years ago went back to see if there were still there and the owners had killed off all the pike 😢 do not know why they do it you need a balance in a pool
