I think a lot of it is thinking in terms of how a cameraman would be handling in that situation. Usually, in TF2, it's pretty obvious that it's some guy following these guys around, so I think keeping that style is really essential to making everything look realistic.

Knowing that so many details were animated manually makes me appreciate how incredibly high quality it has and how much effort was put into this. Seeing the soldier's helmet and the scout tags jiggle in every shot impressed me, and it's things like that, aswell as overall polish that makes this stick out to me so much. Not only that, but it still manages to look cartoony even with all the careful details. The lighting is very color full and clear too, which makes it very easy to behold and whitness all the work in the scenes. Purely amazing.
