SDR. The film was entirely recorded handheld using Xperia 5V 4K120fps (one sample with water 4K 30fps) in HLG (HDR) mode. The film was also entirely edited in the VideoCreator App and the music also comes from the application. Converted from HLG (HDR) to SDR (in VideoCreator app).
Render time for a 4min 44 sec 4K video is approximately ~3min 30 sec.

Video is in SDR mode (HLG mode has 2200cd/m2). VideoCreator: on the plus side, the quality of editing and the interface (it is very pleasant). The downside of the application is the lack of HLG/HDR in the rendering output, no editing options such as fading in/out (video/audio), transparency, some little lags/tearing in VideoPro (1V doesnt have that) and basically that's it for the basics. The rest of the editing options are very well thought out (especially replacing clips). If only there was an HDR option in the application, I would give it 10/10. Render time for a 4min 44 sec 4K video is approximately ~3min 30 sec. Please note that the nearly full clip was recorded @120fps soo every noise should be much lower @30fps.

What's your impressions on 1V vs 5V? I'm choosing between, they are the same price in my country. I like the 5V more because of it's smaller size and longer battery life + all reviewers say that 1V tele module is pretty weak compared to competitors and I own external Apexel x2 tele lens (which is really closer to x1.6). So I thought I would better use it with the main sensor native x2 crop (48mm) of 5V to achieve ~75mm effect if I need tele. But 5V throttles to 40% of CPU after few minutes of stress tests while 1V only goes to 60%, so I'm worried about 4K 120fps max video duration length on 5V and you said it had some lags and tearing which 1V hadn't. Also you can not record 4K 120fps in 48mm mode in 5V which is really sad (or can you?).

@@fractalawareness No you cannot record slow motion 120fps in 48mm mode. 5V has little stuttering when you start rec at 120fps (i think it is glitch or less RAM). Most shots with bees in "Under the sun" was recorded with 85mm.

​@@fractalawarenessit's good to have the telephoto module nonetheless, plus, the displays on the 1 series are just superior (apart from size, which depends more on personal preference). Having a bigger body also means better speaker output, if you care about that. I would choose the more complete device overall, and that's the 1 series imo.

@@CommonLanguageFootball VideoPro is easier, has nice Auto mode with correction, and im my opinion has better HDR, while Cinema pro app has a little better colors in low light at 60fps.

@@lucasn82_ I have 1IV and videopro on 1IV does not have color Presets like in 1V. It would be nice to have S-Cinematone feature. I dont understand much about colors. So, i am using Cinemapro with Venice CS that gives more cinematic feeling and also like that 21:9 size But sadly, there is no app for Android​ to edit HDR videos. With Sony's Cinemapro app it doesnt even let you add music or merge vids with different fps. I dont have an actual pc so its a problem for me. Now thinking about to install Windows on my steam deck for editing apps. Lol

@@CommonLanguageFootball I record eveything in HLG mode with an AE correction to minus and sometimes AWB to "cloudy" (it is more warm). Video microcosmos was edited on 5V with VideoCreator app (it reads HLG corectly but output only SDR; you can correct colors in app). Videos from 1V were combine in AdobePremiere because I want HDR on output. Theres only few application that output HDR (Magix, Sony Edit, Davinci, Premiere).

@@lucasn82_ yes motioncam is a (free) app where you can shoot RAW frames, which is better for color grading and can be done for free in davinci resolve on PC for example. i'm interested in seeing the capabilities of motioncam app on the device. 😁

Pocket takze ma HDR w HLG 10 bit ale po nagraniu trzeba sobie pokolorować obraz .Praktycznie nie ma szumów jesli używamy auto . Daje do myślenia bo experia to 6499zł i do tego gimabal kolejne okolo 1000zł .A takiego pocketa wsadzisz wszedzie pójdziesz z nim wszedzie i nie rzuca się w oczy jak tel z gimbalem .

Żebyś mnie źle nie odebrał. Każdy kupuje to co mu pasuje. Nie jestem od przekonywania na siłę do zakupu Xperii. To telefon który też ma swoje ograniczenia i znam doskonale limity tego sprzętu. 😎 HLG nawet w Xperii nie zawsze daje takie kolory jakbym w 100% chciał choć mega to usprawniono. Napewno praca pod słońce jest genialna jak na telefon. Oglądałem właśnie test DJI i ciekawy gadżet, aczkolwiek też nie pozbawiony minusów.

@@wnj765 Z tego co sprawdziłem Osmo 3 ma max bitrate 130mbps, w Xperii 1V/5V dochodzi do 150mbps (przy 30fps jest to ~70mbps). Muszę sprawdzić bitrate przy 120fps (Xperia oprócz trybu 4K 120fps slow motion[30fps], ma tryb 4K 120fps bez slow motion, czyli z ultra płynnością - dla mnie zbyt płynne ale umożliwia to nagrywanie z dźwiękiem i spowlnienie x4 w programie, wtedy mamy slo mo z audio). Tryb manualny nie jest aż tak potrzebny. W przypadku zdjęć (mam dwa filmy na kanale ze zdjeciami) wszystko było robione w Auto/Basic. Natomiast przy nagrywaniu video (HLG) spokojnie można ustawić wszystko na Auto, a jedynie AE korekcję ustwiamy ręcznie (to jeden "suwak"). Mnie ciekawi PRO-I mark2, co tak będzie. Osmo3 napewno broni się ceną i stabilizacją wbudowaną.

Very interesting - at 01:11, when the bee is flying away, you can see a white traces of the bee legs, probably caused by HDR algorithm. Does it mean that it is not well suitable for very dynamic scenes with tiny objects? Or could it be just a glitch from converting from HLG to SDR?

No its not a glitch. Video was recorded at 9am, and it was quite humid and flowers were covered with dew. The sun was behind me. What you see is the reflection of the sun it the wet legs of bumblebee. ;) Its hard to believe but its true. You can see sun reflection in flower dew too ;) I will propably put orginal file soon and HDR version of full film. Cheers.

@@fractalawareness Stabilization may not be the best on the market, but if you shoot at 120 fps, you make a short, faster hand movement and it is necessarily more stable. You do a 3-second movement, but in the video it lasts 12 seconds ;)

Ja uwielbiam ogólnie low light i jestem samoukiem. Nie mam też ustalonego kierunku w którym idę. Testuje nowe techniki, próbuje sam coś "wymyślić", a czy ma to sens, nie wiem. Z chodzonych kanałów kojarze na pewno virtual japan. Miałem w planach jakiś low light chodzny wieczorem ale to raczej nie telefonem.
