I’ve been an Oasis fan since the beginning, so I’m used to hearing the same old stories repackaged and retold. But your insight and explanation on some of the eras most iconic moments are largely untold, which 25 years on, is something special. Many thanks, and keep them coming.

I can totally relate to your comment Tom. Hearing the same recycled stories, seeing the same remixed videos and I too have been there since the beginning right up to their penultimate gig at Bridlington Spa. The covers, in particular the Microdot one's, were always a big part of the Oasis 'movement' for me and these videos made by the man responsible for the beautiful artwork Mr Brian Cannon (and his crew @ Microdot) are fantastic and I always, without failure, learn something new (Education Please? Haha) and interesting. So yeah thanks for the videos BC and please keep them coming man, it's great when you think you know everything about a band only to learn something new, thanks for the continued suprises. ✌️ 🖤 🇬🇧 Xx

As a designer, this is a top youtube channel for me. I wish more creatives/designers would do these types of breakdowns in this much detail. On top of that WTSMG was my second CD purchase with my own money as a kid (and first that was my generation's music) so Oasis always hold a special place in my heart.

25 years ago?! I remember a 16 year old me,fresh out of school and queuing up outside Virgin Records to grab a copy. It was blasting out of the shop stereo and all the listening stations were full with kids passing around the headphones to each other. Happy memories!

I read the book by Keith Moon's old friend and driver of 10 years, Dougal Butler, not that long ago and he talked about the myth of the Rolls Royce in a swimming pool. He mentioned how the myth started from Keith exaggerating a story (something Keith did a lot) where he tried to drive his car to the pub that was at the end of his drive (The Crown and Cushion in Chipping Norton) in the early hours of the morning. There was a lake/pond in the grounds next to his house and he drove it in there by mistake because it was dark and he was already incredibly drunk. When Kevin Godley of 10cc bought the house from Keith in 1975 the car was still in the pond with the back of it sticking out. There's a brilliant picture of the car sticking out of the lake (like it is on the Be Here Now cover) from an old newspaper clipping.

Really interested in seeing a project retroview for the art concept for the What’s the Story LP. Always felt that was a masterpiece that nailed their image and set the direction for quite some time. Would be great to hear what you went through to come up with that. It’s a bit of an enigmatic cover too, it leaves one asking questions. Absolutely love these videos, as a teenager I never really delved into the art, I just bought for the music, but as an adult now who works in design these videos are a real treat.

These videos are great but a request would be that you show in more detail how you used to work the overall look of the album by putting the difeeent washes of colour on the negatives or whatever the techniques you would use - perhaps you could do this for one of the early verve eps? Ie there could have surely Ben outtakes or alternative washes of colour or more insight technically into your process - ie that oasis supersonic sleeve with that mysterious blue effect or the verve eps like blue or gravity grave - a more detailed look at how you created the colouring? This would be fascinating x

There is no collage on the reissues cos I decided to change it to keep it totally distinct from the original. No printed inner bags were a direct result of budget constraints - I was never offered the option of putting anything on them or not - they had to be plain white paper.

Oasis sleeves in the early days were unique and well thought out. From 2000 onwards, their sleeves became generic. (I know this has been said before, but it's worth saying again. By the time they got to Heathen Chemistry, they were using an ordinary band photo as the cover. Zzzzzzz).
