IF YOU DON'T WANT TO SEE THAT SKIP TO 54 SECONDS! In todays video I am answering some of the most frequently asked questions regarding microneedling and dermarolling. If you are unable to make it to a professional to get this treatment and you are excited to try it be SAFE! Most important thing is safety:) In the demo I am not trying to necessarily show you technique as much as I wanted you to see my skin reaction (some blood, pink skin and pin points). This is all normal when needling for collagen. When needling for product penetration (short needles) you will only see pink, and that is great. That pink should subside by the morning if you needle at night. If it doesn't, you might want to reassess your technique (too many passes etc). Thanks so much for taking the time to share these insights. I actually was using a .75 every 3 weeks for about 5 months now (I worked up to this needle starting with .25) and I have thought (recently) that my face looked a little puffy. Great idea to move it out a week. Never used a serum with Vitamin C (did once and it irritated) and I never use any foundation for at least 24 hours after & I sterilize, sterilize, sterilize.

Thanks for a nice informational video, it's much appreciated! I am using the Derminator, and I like it very much. I'm still getting used to it, and I use it the first weekend of every month, the next time will be my 3rd session. I have it set at a needle length of .75. The directions for that device have you go in little circles, not in straight lines like I'm used to doing, so I think I may be going over some areas twice, because my circles aren't that tiny. I've also drawn a bit of blood - not much at all, just over my cheekbones. I want to say though that I like this instrument, it seems really well built, solidly constructed, and the owner of the company is very active and has good advice. I think she uses longer needles than I plan to use; I'm pretty happy where I'm at now. If I decide to nano-needle in between my major monthly needling, I'll probably use a manual roller at .25 or .3 if I can find .3. Thanks again, always a pleasure watching your videos.

Fully subscribed to your channel. I start Wednesday for the first time and would really appreciate if you could address these concerns and requests: -- videos on MNg hands and feet with pin lengths/numbers/pressure, showing the technique you use? -- I have deep nasal labial (marionette) lines, and some vids say to use .5 on face, 1mm on cheeks below cheekbones, .25 on nose and eyes. ?? Why do some suggest 1 mm on cheeks; what is the result between .5 and 1 mm depths? -- I have surgical scars from both legs' knee replacements; any advice about large scars and MNg, pins size/#/pressure. Do you want pinpoint bleeding on large scars? -- is MNg to pinpoint bleeding the goal of the proper pressure and depth? -- videos on nanoneedling? I am too eager to wait after my new pen arrives Tuesday. I really hope that you consider addressing these issues; the sooner many others and myself get the proper advice and techniques from an expert presenter like you. I will be getting gloves/HA/B5, 70% alcohol (is that better than full strength rubbing alcohol? thanks again !!

Perfect video for today. On Wed I went to my PS office for laser hair removal and my first ever microneedling. Omg. The forehead hurt so bad. The whole thing hurt. They even provided the option for me to purchase nitrous like they do at the dentist office. Was I glad I did. By night time I was in severe sunburn pain. And I have a very high pain tolerance. I kept HA on my face. Thursday I was out of pain just dry and tight feeling. Kept up with the HA. Today I look like I have broken blood vessels. My neck looks like I didn't have anything done to it. I will keep up with HA today and not use any makeup. I sure hope I look better tomorrow. They have scheduled another one in a month. My question is why does it feel like this machine is pounding your face in? I came off the table when she did my nose But I have had a broken nose in the past. I will say I am simply amazed to see the needle punch but the pores are gone. I mean gone. Really enjoyed this today Penn. Have a great weekend!!

I was doing .50 every Saturday! So I guess I need to scale back as well. Thank you! The box of my roller says it’s for weekly treatment.... wonder why?

First off this was a helpful video. Thank You. Second, I have a few more questions: 1. Toners Afterwards ? - Yay or Nay (like alcohol free witch hazel) 2. Moisturizers - I normally use olive oil as a daily moisturizer, but I know that wouldn't be wise after microneedling. What is the best and simplest moisturizer you recommend afterwards for someone with sensitive skin? 3. Face Masks - I normally diy masks like avocado, olive oil, and honey or bentonyte clay, turmeric and honey. I've heard it is best to use hydrating sheet masks afterwards instead or are the usual ones I make ok? Also is it best to use before or after the needling or should it be done a few days later instead?

Thank you for this video. I love my derma roller. I derma roller with a .5 every 2-4 weeks. I am getting ready to buy a derma stamp for my smile lines and a .25 derma roller for daily use.

is the HA from The Ordinary good to use when microneedling? Thanks

I am curious about this too. I love in a dry Southern California area so I heard this reverses the moisturizing effects.

@@kimmitchell7406 if you live in dry climates HA will just dry out your skin. There are other stuff u can use.

I live in Arizona and the Ordinary HA just flakes. I cannot use it during the day. I tried at night but have not seen huge results. I like Ordinary Buffet though!

So helpful. Thank you. I am like MaryEllen. I need to slow my roll (pun intended) on my .5 rolling and use my .2 every other day instead. I dermaneedle on the days I don’t use retin-a. And I was totally unaware of not using vitamin C after rolling. I’m assuming this means any needling??? So excited to find your channel. Going to watch more now 👍🥰

my doctor who has a second office where he does some plastic surgery minimally invasive procedures said that CoolSculpting does not really work it's a waste of money.
