Yapese is the most difficult language for even other Micronesians to learn (some might say Palauan)

Is Yapese even Austronesian? Sounds very different to other Pacific languages.
@brian09029 ай бұрын
Yes, the Micronesians, to be exact, come from the Oceanic group along with Polynesians, but they split from either Oceanic group within the Central Eastern Oceanic language branch, and further into the Micronesian language branch. Other members of the Central Eastern Oceanic group include the South East Solomonic, and Central Pacific which mainly are the Fijians, as well as the Southern Oceanic languages, which are a linkage rather than a family branch. The Southern Oceanic languages mainly consist of Vanuatu languages and New Caledonian.

What is the Yapese language?
@ohkeydan63579 ай бұрын
Yapese is a language spoken by the people on the island of Yap (Federated States of Micronesia). It belongs to the Austronesian languages, more specifically to the Oceanic branch of that family. It has been difficult to classify it further, but Yapese may prove to be one of the Admiralty Islands languages. The Yapese language refers to the language spoken specifically on the Yap Main Islands, and does not include the Chuukic languages spoken in the Yap Neighboring Islands: Ulithian, Woleaian, and Satawalese (and to an extent, Nguluwan).

wait wait wait wait what in the split lesson is going on here 1:10 ??? gamoonnn man I need a 1.2.3.4.5.6. etc.. complete with guides, break downs, vowels, consonants, explain the break down of each split and videos and practice runs and even a zoom meet to evaluate our learning .. do you have a website? courses? I'd be glad to pay for that but this 1:10 lesson? especially with the voices of people who aren't really articulating or annunciating the pronunciation of each word. ? does anyone out here sell courses on these languages? I'd be glad to pay please.

Chuukese /tʃuːˈkiːz/, also rendered Trukese /trʌˈkiːz/,[2] is a Chuukic language of the Austronesian language family spoken primarily on the islands of Chuuk in the Caroline Islands in Micronesia. There are communities of speakers on Pohnpei, and Guam. Estimates show that there are about 45,900 speakers in Micronesia.

@@ohkeydan6357stop using “Trukese” or “Truk” Truk is just a mispronunciation of Chuuk by Europeans.
